Useless as a TV remote backup
I use this app almost exclusively as a backup for when I’ve lost the remote for the frame TV. Very frequently it forgets my TV exists. When it does remember, and I try to connect to the TV through my phone, it asks me to Allow access on the TV which needs the remote… but that’s why I’m using my phone in the first place, because I’ve lost the remote down the sofa! If I had the remote I’d use the remote. This makes 0 logical sense. You’d think you’d only need to allow once but I need to Allow access so frequently, almost every time. If you don’t use the app for a while (6 months?) it will straight up remove the device. I don’t know why it has to forget my TV after 6 months, I’d really rather it didn’t do that. I wish there was an option to turn that off, or allow access to the device only for a week or so (eg if it’s a tv in a public space)Show lessHorrible App - Renders Frame Tv Art Mode Useless
In spite of being a key component to the functionality of the Samsung Frame TV, this app has a long standing issue with Art Mode. One of the key reasons for purchasing such an expensive TV is the ability to utilize the TV to display your own art. This app has a glitch/bug that creates an error (same network error) making this impossible. I can find online forums and complaints about the “same network error” dating back to 2020- indicating this developer (and/or Samsung) do not care about the thousands of people impacted by this- although I suspect this forces more people to utilize their pricey art subscription. In spite of being on the same network (phone and tv) the app insists that art cannot be uploaded or accessed until the phone and TV are on the same network. I have tried every online user hack/workaround and wasted hours trying to access a key feature of an incredibly expensive product (Resetting TV, resetting router, using 2 instead of 5g bandwidth, using airplane mode, turning off cellular data, private network, not private network, hotspot from phone, allowing location access all the time, etc etc etc- literally hours of trying every possible solution to no avail).
Unfortunately this speaks for both the customer service and integrity of both the application developer as well as Samsung.Show lessDeveloper Response
