  • UPDATE: Perfect

    NEW REVIEW:
It just works. I had a newbie problem of my own and sent a https request to the test server which only had http.

OLD REVIEW: What use is a HTTP request application if it does not show you the returned object right away. I’m always getting response 200 OK and a blank screen when sending a get request to my own working API.

  • Very handy

You may not need it often, but the moment you need to make API calls while out shopping, you’ll be very glad you’ve got this app.
  • Need Postman on the go?

Probably the best option on mobile for a REST client. One of the better features is the option to import your collection too and has been a good time-saver.
  • The worst app on the App Store

Amongst all the apps that exist on the App Store, HTTPBot is the worst of them all. It looks deceptively beautiful on the outside. It looks like precisely what you need. But on the inside, it is the largest mess that you could ever imagine. The integration with Shortcuts doesn’t work at all. Variables don’t work at all. You will waste hours of frustration on this app and will have nothing at all to show for it. Absolutely nothing whatsoever is documented. The dev ignores every email he is sent. I’m surprised Apple hasn’t delisted it yet.

  • Chinese is garbled

in the response, pls fix it!
  • Something’s not right here

I make a post request and I get a 200 status back. Sounds fine, but I’m probing an empty port. How does that work? I should be getting back a refused connection. I’d call that a pretty fatal flaw.
  • Nice functionality but the documentation is poor

Almost impossible to find what ‘variable’ parameter means when running HTTPBot through iOS shortcuts. Documentation in app or on website is non-existent (not as in there’s very little documentation, but as in there’s literally zero documentation pages nor sections). Googling does not help. Support and user community is small. Finally, even on their website where they say environmental variables can be saved (maybe a hint at what variables might mean), there’s no clear way to do that in the iOS app.

  • Still crashing (Postman collections)

The app still crashes every time I click on a collection imported from Postman
  • Reasonably cool but crushingly expensive

This is generally a well done tool. But it is SERIOUSLY overpriced!
  • Bought this to work with Postman, but the whole postman relating section just keep crashing

I it did let me login my Postman account but whenever I tried to import my collection from Postman the app just crashed and quit by itself. The app is now at its’ newest version so I’d try if updating my iPad os to a higher version would work or not
