### 4/5 — Great

*2022-05-13, version 3.4.2*

Great piece of kit, on iPhone symbols are too small to read dashboard. Option to customise dash display would be great.

### 4/5 — Great device, App needs an update

*2019-05-16*

Firstly I love the capabilities this dizzy gives me on my Datsun 240z. I can tune the advance curve and see speed, rpm and advance accurately. My stock tach is almost perfect, but because of changes to wheel size my speedometer only reads accurately in the 40-50mph range.

A couple of problems:
1. A few times it shows ‘connected’ but doesn’t read the advance curve that was last loaded. So I’m not sure which curve it is using. There should be a ‘default’ you can save and it stores that it will use as a last resort. Pressing settings and then back to the dashboard usually fixes this.
2. Once in a while the mph has been wildly wrong I’m doing a flat 65 on the freeway and it jumps to 140mph. My car can’t even do 140! The speedo should have a range check based on the rpm and suppress an impossible speed.
3. Choice of large gauge to show speed or timing advance would be a nice feature.

Overall - a very useful app. Didn’t get 5 stars for the above faults.

### 4/5 — Great Job

I have a 1976 BMW 2002 with a mostly stock engine. This distributor and Bluetooth software work great. There are a few issues that I have overcame. The first one was a reset for the radio. The blue light kept blinking and would not connect. Guys in Germany who sold me the distributor said to short the black to the red, turn on the ignition, wait about 15 seconds, the light becomes solid and should connect. That worked great.
The other issue I had was going between my iPhone and iPad. It would not stay connected for longer than 15 seconds or so. It kept disconnect in and reconnecting. I turned off the iPhone and just used my iPad and all was good. No connection issues. I assume these are minor software bugs that will be fixed with an update. Car runs better than ever. I found an extra 10 horsepower..

Update.... New version crashes on both iPad Pro and iPhone 7. Crashes just after the splash screen. Please fix. I love my 123.

Update 2. Great work in the latest update. Love being able to save the curves. Makes it so much easier.

One thing to add, it would be great to be able to move the gauges around so the one of interest is in the middle and larger to see.

### 5/5 — I might have cried a little when I found this distributor

*2018-05-05*

This app is great! I wouldn’t mind being able to store a few curves. I don’t know the difficulty’s in making something like this thing work but let’s say you have a really hot engine and you’ve tweaked your timing to the limit of detonation, things like hot weather and fuel quality can put it over the top, the tune feature is great but If something like a knock sensor and a auto tune feature could be incorporated I’d be super jazzed! I’ve installed one on my type 4 and one on a customers 911 and the results are great and worth the money but dyno tuning is needed for the insane results you’ll get.

### 1/5 — App needs some work

*2026-01-26, version 7.0.1*

The Tune+ is a great device but the App needs improving. If you run the car on a rolling road you can nake adjustments but bizarrely it doesn’t save the settings. You have to write them down. Ideally you should be able to change settings while the car is running and simply click Save Curve. Hopefully this will be added soon. Then it will be an amazing device.

### 1/5 — Not working right.

*2023-07-01*

Won’t stay connected and show dashboard

### 1/5 — Brand new and never reads the curve

*2022-09-01*

When I bought the unit new I was able to set a custom curve, and now it never even reads it so I can’t make any adjustments to the tune. It always connects via Bluetooth but sometimes the gauges work and sometimes they don’t.

### 1/5 — No start

*2022-06-20*

All plugged in green light on dash
Won’t start 6v 356
Tom Tate
Boston

### 1/5 — Intermittent has potential

*2022-04-01*

Runs good but when you shut down then restart it looses the tune. I’m not getting anything from the vacuum port either so no advance there. I may be doing something wrong but there’s no way to be sure as the instructions are not very good. It’s wanting to work but it doesn’t probably something simple and I am open to suggestions and will update the review accordingly

### 1/5 — Can’t connect

*2020-07-12*

Can’t connect. Keeps spinning w no connection
Tried many times, different phones, nothing

**Developer response:** Hi,If you can't connect, please contact us at app@albertronic.com so we can help you to reset the Bluetooth on the 123.

### 2/5 — Quite a few critical flaws

*2025-08-13*

Whilst the app has some useful features I noticed that you can’t check for or install firmware updates. The button is without function. MAP function automatically activates 1500‘ threshold, even after deselection. The selection triggers a 10° ignition advance in addition to whatever value is set. The software will freeze when trying to store a new profile after a restart. This requires you to deactivate and activate the device in the app before being able to store the profile.

### 2/5 — App needs some work

### 3/5 — Does not currently support apple ios15

*2021-09-25, version 3.4.1*

This app does not support the new iPhone ios15 operating system.

### 3/5 — Good App but needs work for V12 Operation

*2020-10-28*

I have used this app successfully after installing a BT distributor in my 1971 S2 6-cyl Jaguar XKE. I since sold it and bought a 1974 XKE V12 and saw that there is a special order version available. It uses 2 6-cyl units that are interleaved to perform the function. I bought it and after some integration issues caused by a lack of special instructions (changed static timing, different ignition wire order from the Lucas), I finally got it running. The sync between the units was off (second bank fires a little off the middle between the bank A firings), so the German 123 tune seller told me to go to this app and select settings and switch between 2 units to shift the advance of one to sync them. I found that there is a bug in the app where the file names get confused between the two units. Sometimes a read from bank B retains the file name of bank A or vice versa. It then stores the wrong timing. Changing it back is iffy since the names are sticky and editing file names seems to not work reliably. Can you look into multiple BT bank programming and fix this file name bug? It is frustratingly to program one bank and find the changes spilling over to the other bank once I select the other bank and read its data. I have not figured out what exhibits the bug exactly but when switching between units, file names do not stay separated and pop up incorrectly after reading the bank. Correcting is hit and miss.

Other than this (and the lack of necessary special instructions for this 12-cyl unit), I am happy with the ability to program the engine.

### 5/5 — Won’t sync

*2026-05-15*

All of sudden won’t sync with new iPad or iPhone but still syncs with 10 year old iPad

### 5/5 — Just works

*2026-05-09, version 8.2.0*

Great bit of kit. It was very easy to fit and set up. The instructions were a bit vague regarding the static timing point and its relation to the app readings but with my timing light, I was able to work it out and adjust the reading on the app to match the actual firing point. The app is great. I love the dash layout as it matches the gauges on my car. Very happy. I wish I had bought this years ago instead of wasting money and time in substandard electronic conversions.

### 5/5 — Excellent piece of kit

*2025-12-31, version 7.0.1*

Would thoroughly recommend. Car starts easier and creates less exhaust fumes. Very pleased

### 5/5 — Terrific Tool

*2023-11-29*

This app makes it easy to develop and save ignition curves. The virtual gauges also help you measure the accuracy of your tach and speedometer. Block temperature is useful, as is ammeter and volt meter.

Switches easily between vehicles and allows unique access codes.

### 5/5 — New features

*2023-04-24*

The new tune feature that allows timing changes while the engine is running works great. Can tune the engine in half the time now.

### 5/5 — Easy install

*2023-04-18*

A thing of beauty!

### 5/5 — Very good distributor for BMW 2002

*2022-08-29*

I’ve been using the 123 blue tooth distributor on my ‘76 BMW 2002 since November 2020. Th unit replaced my trusty tii pe vacuum advance Petroniux distributor which I have had for over 20 years and never let me down. Let me tell you that this is one of the best upgrades I made to the vehicle due to my engine set up. Having side drafts require more advance so having the ability to change the timing is a God send. The first thing I noticed is the smooth cold start. Carbs stink in the winter especially Weber DCOE’s without choke cable. With this unit the cold start is effortless. Also the gauge function, GPS speedometer are great because my original Speedometer is definitely off.

Thank you 123 for upgrading the gauges with digital tach and curve. I wanted to provide that feedback a long time ago but forgot and voila you added that great feature on the gauge. Today I just happen to notice it it wasn’t there yesterday. All I can say is this is a great ignition upgrade but make sure you use the correct coil. I am using a new Bosch blue coil instead of the resistor and blaster coil I used for the Petronix system. The only other improvement I can think of right now is to improve the clips that hold the cap. They tend to come loose and the cap can come off. For now I pinch the clip to make it more secure but it does loosen with time and vibration of these carbed motors.

### 5/5 — 2cv 123

*2022-02-27, version 3.4.2*

Best mid you can do to a 2cv

### 5/5 — Alfa Upgraded

*2021-11-14*

Installed in a Alfetta GTV 2litre. Just get one. The capacity to adjust the timing curve combined with better spark and a comprehensive dashboard is the perfect resto-mod. From cranky to sparkly.

### 5/5 — Mr Zephyr

*2021-05-30, version 3.4.1*

Absolutely fantastic product 👌
