Terrible app
Terrible app. It used to be good years ago when I first downloaded it. Since then the ads have increased to the point it’s almost unusable. It’s also really buggy now. The playback speed keeps increasing on its own. Today, every time I tried to access the playback speed to turn it back down the app would crash and I’ve finally decided to delete the app and try something else.

Audio from adverts are now playing over the audio of the podcasts
I fully appreciate that the free version needs adverts to support the app. Like others I have noticed the frequency of adverts has increased and the ‘x’ button takes longer to appear and it is sized and placed to almost force you to indicate that you are interested in the app. I understand that this is the way of the world with an advert supported free app. But today the app is playing a constant loop of a video game audio OVER the sound of the audio of the podcast (without the screen being shown to cancel the advert) rendering the app unusable on my iPad. Will monitor for a while and will consider making a note of where I am in my podcast library and moving to another service. Really poor.

Intrusive ads
I had switched to Stitcher and then back because I wanted to try this app again. Tried playing a podcast only for the app to start playing ads during playback that needed to be clicked out of (I was driving so completely inappropriate). I don’t mind ads if they are not video, I have honestly never bought an advertised app and never will. I’d be happy to pay a small yearly fee but your prices are ridiculous. Will try another app and if not will return to Apple Podcasts over this app.
