This could be really great
Overall, this would be a 6 star app if only bugs were fixed. Main problems I am having are the guide not being populated on startup using mythtv (have to run mrmc several times) and various UI issues like the popup guide in live tv, no way out of it. I posted on the mrmc forums close to a month ago, no response at all. So, I can't see myself buying it with no support.Show lessSfatula
I want to love this buggy app
I love the vision of MrMC. Solid dev team that’s been formed, and the constant updates are great.
That said this is buggy. It’s a bit clunky to use on a iPhone touchscreen (iPhone X). Take the new Plex for Kodi add on… Love it that it’s now available, but user interface challenges make it really hard to enjoy. I’m not sure that you can even exit the add-on and get back to MrMC.
Anyway - it’s a good start but hard to switch from native plex to this just yet.

Minimal Emby Support
I would like to see transcoding options for emby. This would be useful for remote low bandwidth situations and handing hi10p and hevc encodes without murdering battery and performance.
Music player is slightly buggy and ideally I’d like to see background playback.

Unusable: unable to connect to Mac
Very upset by this app’s inability to connect to shared folders of my Mac on the same network. I have been trying for two days in vain. The app refuses to connect to shared folders with my Mac credentials. No protocol works. Unlike autodetect feature of Infuse and VLC, MrMC does not even show Mac resources. No installation instructions besides a useless forum and links to Wiki. Complete disappointment. I am glad I didn’t buy it!Show lessVadMK
