  • Quirky and unpredictable ❤️

You guys do a fantastic job with these games. This one so far has been my favorite. No matter how many different escape games I play with Rusty Lake, you never fail to keep me intrigued by your surprises and oddities. It’s just too cool. Keep up the great work. I’m off to the App Store in search of my next Rusty Lake escape so keep ‘em coming.

  • Trust the negative reviews, this is disappointing

I loved the Cube Escape series but was reluctant to purchase the Paradise based on some of the reviews. I decided to try it because I thought “how different could it be when I really liked all other games by them?” Well this one is truly the least favorite of mine. Like others said, there is a lot of going back and forth and again and again on the map. The puzzles look like they were developed without much thought. I just kept randomly clicking on some of the puzzles because they were underwhelming and I still was able to solve some of them that way. Some same graphics were used from their other games... all the voice overs even for the female characters were recorded by males for some reason....storyline was not captivating to say the least. I LOVED their games such as Roots and Paradox and I’m not sure what happened here... like all the captivating storyline and thoughtful puzzles they used to have were not present, and this game really focused on stabbing and killing different animals and bugs crawling out of peoples noses.... and that’s basically it. I’m hoping the developers take this into consideration for the next games.

We're sorry to read that you didn't enjoy Paradise as much as the other releases you played from us! We really appreciate you trying it out and leaving your honest opinion and feedback. Thank you for your ongoing support! We will keep this in mind when working on upcoming games.
  • Awesome games!

I’ve played all of these games in chronological order. The free ones are short, the chapters you have to pay for are much longer. They’re worth purchasing. Do yourself a favor if you like creepy, interesting puzzle games. Buy and download all of the chapters, Google the chronological order of these games, and play them in order. I can’t wait for more chapters to be released!

  • Absolutely incredible

I discovered Rusty Lake games by chance when Samsara Room appeared somewhere in the indie games category screen. I thoroughly enjoyed how bizarre and unique it was so I played through most of the Cube Escape games before seeing Paradise. I completed it in one day and was completely enthralled the whole time. this game is absolutely worth the money you pay for it and totally different from other games offered on the app store.

  • Amazing game as always, but there’s an issue with the Tenth Plague

    - Spoilers -

I’m replaying this game, and I’m experiencing an issue on the Tenth Plague level where nothing happens when I spell ‘owls’ in the stone at the bottom of the well. I’ve tried restarting the level and that doesn’t seem to work. I don’t remember this being an issue my first time playing sometime last year :(

  • Twisted fun with slight UX flaws

I enjoyed this story. It appears to be where it all begins, which helps give a cohesiveness to the weirdness.

There are a few minor flaws with the game that keep it from earning five stars. One slight continuity error hurt the credibility of the experience (and not the kind that helps define the charming “Lynchian” experience, either). One of the minigames also suffered from finicky behavior that could have been tightened up to give the user a more enjoyable experience.

  • Thoughtful

Rusty Lake has done it again. Made a very strange but well done game. I’m not sure if I LIKE the story, but it was a fun game. It can be gross and even disturbing. But it does create a unique, creepy game! The actual gameplay is very good, with a lot of puzzles spread throughout. The puzzles were a lot of fun as they were also very unique. You just had to figure them out. I enjoyed Plague 9 the best, as it was the least disturbing and the puzzles were the most fun. Overall, definitely worth 5 stars.

  • Not for all, but great for some

Rusty Lake Paradise is unique, so it’s hard to compare it to anything else. It’s got an intriguing storyline, but it’s played through puzzle-like challenges. Although none are time sensitive (as far as I know), which makes the game even more relaxing than it would already be, some seem like they’d be near impossible to figure out without the provided walk though, which was incredibly helpful. I look forward to the next Rusty Lake game.

  • Really cool game! Requires some patience

I’m a huge escape room fan, and much of this game really scratches the itch. A cool story with intriguing themes. I thought there was just the right balance of story and gameplay. Some of the puzzles felt a little tedious, and there were one or two “oh come on, that’s how you solve that?” ..moments. But generally speaking, the game is fun. The challenge level was tougher than I imagined at times! (I had to look up solutions to things maybe 3 times). Really cool, dark sense of humor in it. Loved the ending. I’d say this is worth it if you’re into patiently solving escape-room style puzzles and bizarre, dark adventure stories!

  • Endless joy. Easily the best app series ever!

I can’t even begin to describe the mind blowing wonderful joy of these games. I’ve played all of them, gifted them to friends and family, and they’ve seriously blown every single other game/app out of the water. The creativity of these designers is insane. Snails coming out of grandma’s nose? Yes please. My only complaint: there aren’t enough stories! My life feels incomplete now that I’ve done them all. Please please please keep making more of them!! I could rave for days, but this should get my point across. You will not regret purchasing these. Start with this one before moving on to the others. My only caveat: the story is a little chilling and there’s a little bit of gore so if you are sensitive to that, beware.
