Losing data
I use an iPad and my iPhone for this app. Lately though I’ve been losing notes I wrote in my patterns. Then yesterday i went to look at my notes section of a project and it had deleted the last notes I put in and I know I saved them the time before. This is getting annoying. I really hoped this app could replace Raverly which I have issues with before but losing my notes is a big issue.

Annotation Feature is Worthless
I want to love this app, I really do. But I cannot get the transportation feature to work at all. I’ve tried both with and without my Apple Pencil, and it just makes big blurry dots rather than actually writing my notes. Erasing those notes is just as awful and takes a lot of patience to clear whatever weird blurry marks showed up

Love this app!
I love this app! It’s so handy. The row counters are great, I love in the notes (paid for) you can link videos and web addresses. It’s so handy when working something complicated and I forgot how to do it. I took 1 star because I can’t get the widget or Apple Watch app to work? Otherwise this is a must have app for knitters/crocheters. I do wish there was Dropbox integration because that’s where all my patterns are saved, but it does have quite a few other options for patterns already.
Update: I don’t know where to make a suggestion, but maybe a counter for 2 colored brioche? Like each row tap would be an A and B before it changed rows? 😅

Hi there! Thanks for the awesome review. :) I know it's been a couple months, but I just wanted to let you know that the latest update (1.5.2) should resolve the issues with the widget and watch app! Also, if you have the Dropbox iOS app installed, you should be able to access it from the File browser. If you tap on "Import --Browse for file," it opens up to iCloud Drive by default. However, if you tap the "Browse" button in the upper left, it should take you back to a list of Locations, where Dropbox should appear. Thanks again for downloading and reviewing YarnBuddy! Generally Good, But . . . . .
I really like the features in the app and the ability to use it on my Apple Watch. Overall it works smoothly, but there is a bug when accessing more than one counter where the other counter goes backwards when clicked. It’s a great app, but will be better when this is resolved.
Worth paying for, if the row counter glitches are ironed out
I had to update to a different phone, so I’m not sure if the counter edit feature is just spazzing out because of the screen dimensions, but when I try to edit the names of my row counters within a project, I tap on the “Name” field, and the keyboard pops up and then disappears immediately. I’ve updated my phone software and the app, but this is still happening. However, it does seem like it is now synced with my watch, which had been an issue (at least for me) after my last app update.

I really want to love it
I really want to love this app. It’s great for having multiple projects on the go and keeping track of all your yarn. My huge issue that I’ve had is twice now it has cleared everything from my app. All my projects, finished and current, the small amount I stash I put in, gone…. All gone and no way of getting it back. Super super frustrated with that part. Please please fix that!

Just downloaded the app WOW
I just downloaded the app and started to look through it. This developer has thought of everything! If the app works as well as it presents (and according to other reviews it does) I’ll come back with a five star. So far the app is intuitive, full of features, and easy on the eye. If I had a dollar for every app I’ve downloaded and deleted within a day or two because it was terrible from the start, I’d be rich. This is one app that appears to be exactly what it claims thank you!

Has everything you could possibly need for yarn-based crafts, with a beautiful interface AND no ads! 😄

Game changer for mosaic crochet
I just completed a mosaic crochet project that was 170 stitches by 213 rows in 2 weeks because of this app
It was a picture, so no repeated patterns and the pattern is 6 parts of 6 pages each

Bug on the watch
I don’t know where else to report bugs.
There is a bug on the watch app with pop up messages/row alerts.
The row alert message never leaves. It continues to pop up immediately after pressing cancel or dismiss. I cannot get rid of the pop up.
When it pops up I cannot access anything else. I can’t swipe between or increment counters, I can’t go back to the main menu, the row alerts don’t sync when linked counters are incremented, and it doesn’t sync with the phone at all.
The only way to get out of the pop up menu and regain usability is to remove the app from my watch and reload it.
Another glitch.
Also I accidentally hit delete pattern and the the verify delete message kept popping up whenever I opened a pattern despite hitting cancel or no each time. Finally I had to select yes delete to get rid of the message. And it of course deleted the pattern.
