  • Works great, needs to connect more lights

I was skeptical at first about this app given other reviews but honestly connecting and using the light through the app is super simple and easy.
BUT the big downside is only one light is able to be connected even though the app itself appears to be capable of holding more than one. For example, when connecting a light, there is a screen showing room, labeling the light as “LumeCube1” and a + sign for more lights but no way to connect those lights. If an update can allow more than one light that would make this a 5 star app!

Lume-X should automatically connect additional lights if they are in the vicinity, with Bluetooth turned on, and not currently connected to another device. The "+" sign in the Mission Control table is to expand the controls for the selected light. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@lumecube.com if we can help.

Just got myself the Lume Cube 2.0 - I can honestly say as a vey picky and critical professional Night scape photographer that this is one of the most non frustrating devices I have ever used, I am blown away at how good the lighting actually is and the app is also not complicated and of high standard-You can really tell that someone passionate with actual photography came up with this idea- I love it guys, so much I ordered another two only a week after I bought my first.

  • UI is entirely broken

Portions of the UI don’t even show up, they are shifted off screen so you cannot actually manage settings or read what toggle switches are for. Seriously, did anyone even test this app before release?

App does not work in Cube 2.0 at all to manage brightness, anything over “10%” is actually 100%...1% = 10, 2%=20, and so on. Anything over 10% does nothing.

Problem always seen on Cube 2.0 and iPhone 11 Pro.

  • Great Cubes, Lousy App

The app is REALLY holding this product down!
    - it’s difficult to navigate, which is ironic considering that it only has about three functions.
    - it’s hard to read (the battery percentage especially). You find yourself wondering if that’s the “light intensity level” on one control screen OR the “battery percentage level” on another control screen?

Seriously guys, you’re making a killer profit on these cubes ... spend some of that cash coming up with an app that’s as awe inspiring as the cubes.

We're currently designing an updated interface and control flow for Lume-X. There will be less focus on the camera functionality and more on Lume Cube control and feedback. It should be very intuitive and straightforward to navigate. In the meantime, you can check out our instructional video here that you may find useful: https://lumecube.com/pages/app#shopify-section-app-video
  • App Ok... Lume Cube 2... Read on

    These lights are fantastic!

I originally wrote a two-star review based on my not being able to install the frames that come included in the box. The instructions weren’t very clear on their website.

IF YOU ARE HAVING TROUBLE ATTACHING THE FRAME TO THE LIGHT, just rotate it 90° and it should work. It is a very tight fit, but that also makes it a very secure fit.

As for the App, it pretty much works as advertised.

  • BROKEN APP!

Lume cube 2.0 is nice. Unfortunately, this app is broken from the get-go. It’s stuck on the photo/video mode with the blinking Lume logo in the top left corner. Try clicking on it, but nothing happens. Can’t register the product, can’t change settings on the cube’s functions, can’t use the app to do JACK. Hey Lume, how about fixing this app so your customer can actually start using the product as intended and not only for a very bright flashlight.

The blinking Lume Cube logo indicates that there is currently no connection. It will turn solid blue once a Cube is connected and you can then tap the logo to control the Cube. If a Lume Cube is detected in the vicinity it will automatically connect and prompt for registration if needed. You'll want to ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and the Lume Cube 2.0 is powered on via 3 second button press. If connection problems persist, a reboot of the phone can help. • App is not working

At first app worked fine on iPad .then no Bluetooth control to light .now Bluetooth cannot find light wow .
  • App need some work

App is a little ugly and it starts with the camara app as the main page, product is pretty good but they need to make the focus on controlling the cube not using the phone camara
  • Ignore The Negative Reviews

Seriously. This is a great product with a great app. As someone who has done commercial production all of his life, the chimera look to the hard lines you can create, anywhere, from any angle - buy a bunch of them! A great tool for content production kit.

  • Awesome product

Great news this light is the best, I love this. I have three lights and they work so beautiful for me where there’s no light or very little of it. All working off my app. Off my phone.
