Not good

Extremely inconsistent. I just redownloaded it because I thought I had an old version. But nope. Just a really poor app. The product is ok. Not as inconsistent as the app but still not great.

Security is suspect

Login forms break password manager integration. Customer Support responds: “Please note that for security reasons, you need to TYPE in the credentials for the iSmartgate.”

Any company that believes this is not security minded. Very likely other gaping security holes.

Incredibly awful product

I bought one of these 5 years ago, and eventually got it to work with my garage door; however it features an incredibly annoying bright flashing light accompanied by an even more annoying beep beep noise. After numerous complaints to the company, they finally admitted this warning "feature" could be disabled.... But only by doing a complete factory reset and then reconfiguring everything. Idiots! Even worse, when my internet provider "upgraded" my Wi-Fi, iSmartgate ground to a halt. Factory says I must do a reset, and then completely reconfigure the whole device. Absolutely unacceptable!

Garbage that doesn’t work and CS doesn’t care

It worked for a day…barely. Then kept resetting itself for a week. Then worked for a day….then stopped working all together. Totally forgot about it for a year, then we just had a power outage and now the thing keeps chiming. It’s on a garage door unit 20’ up on the ceiling so now I have to dig out the giant ladder and rip the thing out and throw it away. Weeks of CS emails and calls and they basically said “it should work. It’s your internet/phone/iOS/wall/ceiling/power.” Every excuse except the real one - our product does not work. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!

Broken since HomeKit update

Everything worked as expected when I first installed this about a year ago. But ever since the HomeKit update with new architecture (16.2) the app has been completely useless and the unit no longer works at all. I constantly get the “accessory not responding” error even after many attempts to reboot, reinstall, reset etc. Extremely frustrating!!

Does not connect to homekit in 16.4

Since ios 16.4 update, cannot connect to homekit. Useless support from company.

Lost wifi connection

After updating to new iOS 16.4 keeps disconnecting. Tried repair but disconnected after 1-2 min. Please update your software

Apple watch?

Why u can not use my Apple Watch to open the garage door, have to use my phone all the time

Firmware/app update needed

Post 16.2 update the garage door app no longer want to talk to the home unit and constantly states app cannot connect even though the unit is visible connected to our router. Seems that the unit’s firmware needs an update to accommodate 16.2 new HomeKit architecture.

Horrible product

Ap installation instructs are useless for device. The instructions don’t match device or set up process. Very poor customer support.
