Very good for basic music theory

The app provides many different exercises for notes, clefs, scales, keys, time signatures, rhythm, intervals and chords (though ‘time signatures’ and ‘rhythm’ are not easy to find). Little attention has been paid to ‘rhythm’. More advanced topics are included in their ‘MyEarTraining’ app (also very good).
Providing answers for ‘Interval Construction’ and ‘Chord Construction’ is a bit tricky. These require 2 buttons to be selected for every note, e.g. you must also select “no acc.” for every note that does not require an accidental. This could have been avoided by simply providing a full listing of all potential notes, i.e. notes with and without sharps or flats. This would have ensured that only one button would need to be selected (which would also speed up the answering).

just beautiful, this is why the world needs.

Fantastic information with one small problem

I’ve used this app to help build my competency with recognizing chords. The “practice” section has been fantastic, but I noticed a small glitch. You cannot remove a choice once you click it.

Great for beginners

Really helpful for beginners trying to read music

Don’t use this app, it teaches incorrect notation

I was checking out this app to potentially recommend to a student and immediately found a lot of the answers were just wrong. At one point it said that A sharp and A flat are the same note. Not every answer was erroneous but enough that using this app would quickly teach you the wrong way to read music notation, which is highly problematic.

Response from developer

Could you please be more specific about where (which exercise, what was the question) the app is wrong? The app is used by hundred thousands of musicians and such an error would be certainly reported from more of them. Maybe you just overlooked something. It happens that for example people don't notice that there is 'French violin' clef and they assume it is a normal Treble clef. I would be very glad if you contact me on myrapps@gmail.com to have better possibilities to communicate. Thanks in advance for your time.

Shocking spelling

The spelling and grammar in this app are appalling! Impossible to use, and they want to charge more for premium services!

Response from developer

Hi. Could you please send me some exact locations where are the spelling or grammar mistakes. The app's primary focus is on music theory exercises so there may be some text imperfections, but I will be glad to correct it. If you like, you can send it to myrapps@gmail.com. I would be very grateful.

Great... but

This is a fun and addictive app, but it needs to fix a glitch where sometimes the enharmonic equivalent notes (Gb or F# for example) are not treated the same.... correct me if i am wrong, but wouldn’t an Adim7 have a double-flatted seventh note (Gb) ... the App says wrong, its an F#...

Response from developer

Hi. Thanks for your bug report. The dim7 chord was corrected in the newest version.
