Open search and Ability to Add Custom Codes
The idea of a search button is to be open. If a user has to search by category, like in the book, then the App loses its appeal and ease to use.
Also, very important to have the ability to add custom codes just like the product has. The user would like to search for them too when weighing.

App is really good. I think one way to make it even better would be the option to add the custom codes that you create
No specific brands, missing thousands of foods.
Can’t get nutrition info for specific brands- this is a huge deal since the calorie count between 2 different brands of bagel could be hundreds of calories. No almond butter is listed in log,
