  • Absolute best app for real data that’s also easy to understand.

This app is critical for anyone who lives in an area with tropical weather/systems. There have been hurricanes where the data in the app (which updates at the same time meteorologists get their update) gets to me faster than the news on TV/online. Living on the Gulf coast of Florida, anyone that’s been here for the last few years knows how many storms have been down to minute changes in course or strength to determine when to evacuate or change plans. This app keeps you 100% up to date and I highly recommend the subscription. With the subscription I usually have a 1-2 day lead on storm development before the news is even talking about it. There are so many features and maps and graphics that I feel like real meteorologists must get about the same data if at all any more. TL;DR This app is as good for the average person as it would be for a trained meteorologist, and is the ONLY app you need to be totally prepared in any hurricane.

  • The best hurricane data source aggregator

This app is simply the best for tracking storms, gathering data and displaying it in useful ways. A variety of model tools are available. The app, and especially the Pro subscription is worth every penny if you live in an area susceptible to hurricane impacts. The Developer support is terrific, the developer responds quickly to questions. Updates and improvements just keep coming and the app is getting better and better. I do wish the developer would embrace “dark mode” or simply modify the screen colors to tone down all the white space; the menu screens would be so much more pleasing and easy on the eyes.

Finishing up with another hurricane season coming to an end. I wouldn’t want to be without this app, even after hurricane season is over. The model forecasts are great, providing up to 16-day forecasts that show future storms across the country. As a traveler, this app keeps me informed. Worth every penny!

  • A Life Saving Tool

This is n excellent app which has helped us prepare for Hurricanes in Mexico. Several times we had to Stay & Shelter during Cat 2 Hurricanes and this app truly gave us real time data to help prepare and cope.
  • Great Product Used for several years

We live in in the Caribbean. During hurricane season I review this at least once a week, and every day once a storm is in the Caribbean.

It gives us confidence, that we can do what is needed before a storm hits. Just what we need.
  • Great Data - User Interface needs Work

Great app to track any meteorological events in the hurricane belt.
However, the user interface feels completely outdate and would need some serious in terms of ease of use & conviviality.
Most of the live images take ages to load on 5H and so one and it always requires some mental exercise to understand how the app work.
That being said, it’s not necessarily easy to combine all this data in one pack.

  • No Asia?

I can’t view storms in Asia. Why? I’m trying to track Typhoon Bolaven and the other two. Like I’m trying to view Japan, China, and the Philippines. Won’t show. Please fix that. Otherwise it’s great.
  • Homepage Info

    Update:
Figured it out: If there is not a current storm, you get a pop up that the storm you were tracking is over. If you don’t choose a new storm in the Choose A Storm menu and instead back out, all of the information is for the last day of the past storm. There isn’t a general Home Screen that is clearly a holding screen. At first glance, it looks like there is a current storm until you look at the very tiny date on the NOAA/NWS map. Not a huge deal, just a little confusing on the experience side.

Thanks for the info, Dev. The tabs didn’t share the same storm (forecast map was 2020, advisories tab was 2022), so I’m assuming it was placeholder content, but not clearly marked? I switched my Home Screen widgets in settings, and Arlene is now a TS. I’m not sure which one updated, but I’m now seeing current storm info when I open the app / close “select a storm.” Maybe this is default before the first storm of the season? Either way, updated review and updated stars. Thanks!

Why does the homepage of the app show hurricane data from Nov 2022 if I close the pop up “select a storm” menu?! Valuable app real estate is wasted on misleading, old data which is difficult to tell that it’s outdated. Ugh.

Hi, the app does not show data from last year storms because the NHC wipes the graphics clean each year. If you are experiencing something different please email me a support@lwbrandsllc.com and I’d be more than happy to assist you. Lastly, please consider editing your review when you see the latest 2023 storm info. Thank you!
  • THE “Go To” Storm and Hurricane App!

Having lived on the Gulf Coast for over 75 years, major storms and hurricanes are a fact of life. NHC Hurricane Tracker is my go to app for forecasts and updates - I check it at the beginning of each day to keep a weather eye on Gulf and Atlantic storms. I have used NHC HT for both personal and business use as I managed multiple offices throughout Florida, Alabama and Mississippi. I highly recommend the Pro update as it gives detailed longer term views and forecasts. Get this app - you cannot go wrong with it and it will prepare you when a storm is coming your way!
