  • Quest Issues

I am not a subscriber, so I rely on the quests and the cards to get enough diamonds to play each day. I’ve had the app for about a week and today, when I needed the diamonds from the quests and cards to continue playing the daily page, I didn’t get credit for one of the quests. It was complete a puzzle for 3 consecutive days, so I went back through the past 2 days of puzzles and found that I had completed a Picture Cross and a Crossword on each of those daily pages. I completed today’s Picture Cross and Crossword and still hadn’t received credit for the quest. I only had enough diamonds left to play 1 more game, so I did a Crossword from the introduction special issue but still didn’t receive credit for the quest. Very disappointed that there is an issue with logging the quests, as it feels intentional to force people to buy a subscription. I love the app, but won’t pay for it and if I can only do a couple of puzzles with the diamonds earned each day it really isn’t worth the space it takes up on my phone. ☹️

  • Absolutely love the game, just one minor flaw

I love this game to death. It reminds me of the games/trivia page found in daily newspapers and I adore that. It always keeps me busy and thinking. I’ve been subscribed to it for about over a year now. Very much deserving of 5 stars. Currently I only see one things that I hope could be fixed/tinkered with. After playing the game for like 30 minutes or so certain images from the puzzles like the X in the top left corner of every game gets slightly burned into the screen for a bit and I notice it when in other apps. It goes away after a bit but gets worse and more noticeable for longer durations of play. Personally I’d suggest finding a way to and a light and dark mode which can be accessed through the settings. I think this would fix that screen burning and also make the game a lot more physically appealing and attract a bigger audience to get the game. I do so greatly hope that the creators of this amazing game find and read this as I’d also very much like to see this game get eternally better and more popular. :)

  • Best puzzle app I’ve played in a long time.

I love this app. The UI is intuitive, and there is a very large range of fun puzzles to complete. There are both daily puzzle pages which take about an hour to complete and special issues, so so far I’ve found there is plenty to complete!

I bought the subscription with a coronavirus lockdown induced impulse purchase, which I have enjoyed even more so far and would recommend. I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the high subscription cost, which I probably wouldn’t have paid for under normal circumstances.

  • FUN and ADDICTING !!!

I love having an array of puzzles available to me at once. I enjoy the challenge of completing “pages” with a different compilation of puzzles. It makes each day unique. I am also thrilled that I have the opportunity to learn about puzzles I have never played before. Highly recommend! The only concern I have about this games is the collection of tokens. Without purchasing a subscription, I am not certain I will earn enough free token on a daily basis to play all the puzzles I would like! Each page has a variety of puzzles, and although some puzzles may be free if you watch a video, most puzzles on the page cost tokens. Even with the “50% off tokens” that shows up with the daily page, to complete the page will still cost a chunk of your tokens. At this rate I either limit myself to a few puzzles a day (never completing a page in day) or I keep completing all puzzles in a page and be out of tokens by the end of the week. Honestly I do not know what to do?!

  • Subscriber getting frustrated

A great, well run app except it’s being sped up to the point where I’m losing all satisfaction. No sooner have you touched what you hope to be the final piece for a puzzle you have worked on than the whole thing silently whisks shut, the puzzle is shrunk and quickly hidden and you’re left with your neurons swinging in the wind without any satisfaction or consolidation of what’s just been learned. We don’t even get a chime or jangle of coins like we used to. People who play an app like this aren’t looking for high adrenaline, they’re looking for dopamine. Removing every trace of a reward beyond 50 coins that you have hundreds of thousands of doesn’t seem like good psychology. I still enjoy picking through the deathly boring crosswords and 9x9 sudokus for the other games but the dopamine is drying up at the repetition of the same games. I spend quite a bit comparatively for an app for the privilege of getting a handful of puzzles everyday and I would like to feel a little less shoved along to the next task. We get enough of that at work, this should be set up to a calmer beat. Other than that, still happy for the time being. Thanks for reading, puzzlemeisters!

  • Love it more than ever

I’ve been playing this app for a couple of years now and I love it more and more as time goes on and improvements are made. I used to be a non-subscriber at the beginning. But now I do subscribe. This was not a decision taken lightly as I am on a very fixed income. But this app gives me everything I want from my puzzling hobbies, colouring desires and even mathematical hankerings as there is so much variety. So, I do not bother buying any puzzle mags or other things that I can get from this app at all. Now, any money I would have spent on myself has gone towards this hobby instead - my “one stop shop” - very possibly saving me money in the long run.

I love the March 2020 update. The app never freezes or glitches, so technically it is sound. The aesthetics are attractive and the variety is vast. However, I would be interested if they start doing the Logic puzzles (where you have clues to help you plot the cross table matching each axis’ item with the other sections). Thank you for this app; it’s a lovely treat that I rely on to help me cope with and calm down from my Generalised Anxiety Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. A few minutes on this app and that black fog of emotions starts to settle.

  • Pricey for two

Very pricey when we have to pay two yearly subscriptions so that my wife and I can both play. Update: after a years subscription we are deleting the app mainly due to being unable to rotate screen so that the power lead is always being damaged when using. A design fault that is disappointing.
  • Expectations not lived up to, tokens are useless

When I first got Puzzle Page, you could say I was excited. Being a bit of a brainiac, I was up for challenges and puzzles to mess with my knowledge. But my expectations were not lived up to. If you wish to do any sort of puzzle from this days options, it costs ten tokens. If you finish all of the puzzles from today and wish to do some from other days, it costs you 20 tokens. To gain tokens, you get 5 from watching a pointless add and 1 per ten minutes. Within 2 days, all of my tokens were gone from playing puzzles, and I was not interested in watching 2 adds just to gain tokens. My only other option was to pay. Puzzle Page tricks you into paying for more tokens, but then those tokens only last for 15 puzzles. If you wanted unlimited tokens, you of course had to pay again for a subscription. This is my 5th day with the app, and I can confidently say I am deleting it after this review. Please don’t get tricked by this Puzzle Page into paying for useless tokens. Overall, awful experience.

  • Best Puzzle App I’ve Used

I downloaded this app last year and spent a few months with no subscription. I was able to accumulate tons of coins (which are used to give hints in puzzles) and a decent amount of tokens (which are used to play a puzzle).
About a month or two ago, I decided to pay for the annual subscription to get rid of the ads, and it did, which is GREAT! Also, all of the daily puzzles are free with subscription and you get to play five special issues for free per day (any more than that and it costs you tokens).
I really appreciate the range of puzzles this app offers, unlike a lot of other apps. I’ve gotten better at puzzles I didn’t enjoy or know how to play earlier, like killer sudoku (which is still tough), but the instructions for each puzzle are very clear. I also like that the player can choose which difficulty they want to play a puzzle if they are still learning or haven’t mastered that puzzle type yet.
The special issues are GREAT since they’re great practice...I don’t know if I’ll ever complete all of them! I also love that the developers are always adding new puzzles and new issues, which keeps the app fresh and never boring. I use this app every day to keep my mind sharp and I absolutely love it!

  • Free to play?

I love different puzzles so this really appealed to me. It’s obviously free to download and when you start, you get a set amount of tokens that you have to use to play the puzzles. I didn’t mind this at first until I realised that unless you want to pay cash to buy more of these tokens, you quickly run out and can’t play. It even costs further tokens to replay puzzles that you’ve already unlocked!! You get one token every 5 minutes (I think), but puzzles cost 10-20 tokens each so it would take a while to have enough. Every now and then, a puzzle would reward me with tokens (5) but it seems random and not frequent. It also gives you the opportunity to watch a video to earn 5 tokens but after trying to watch it 4 times and having the app force close every time, I gave up. The puzzles are great and there’s a good range. The majority don’t take more than a couple of minutes to complete which makes the slow process of getting more tokens seem even worse. I’ve run out, I have no interest in paying real money and will therefore be uninstalling this app. Such a shame as it’s a smart looking app with great content. It just isn’t “free enough” for me.

(Please note that this review refers to an older version of the app.) We're sorry to hear you've had a problem. There are multiple options to earn more tokens each day, please refer to the in-game Help system for full details. We've tried to balance the game to cater for the widest possible range of playing styles, but we do continue to adjust it based on player feedback. Apologies for any inconvenience.
