Great game but some flaws
Counterside is a great game to enjoy and have functions that enable players to make quick progression from skipping stages for players who don’t have a lot of time; however, from my time playing since the release, the update are making the gameplay worse than it was. I was experience frequent crashing from playing PvP gauntlet, so I have to rely on auto battle in either ranked or strategy. Ranks gauntlet should implement should have some rework losing less points with many losing streaks.
PvE content from event and story is really nice and have interesting story/plot happening. Rewards or event shops are really helpful in progression but I would like to see more fusion cores added
Overall, I think this game is really nice, but I think that PVP need some teaks to crashing or opponents that have the same or less CPShow lessElites100

App is generally laggy and has more issues than other gacha. For example minimize and it completely disconnects have to restart app etc haven’t run into this with other games.
PvP match making seems really off, get paired way up/down sometimes and it doesn’t seem to matter for loss/gains. Someone much higher beats you and you lose a ton of points, beat them and get the same points as someone lower rating.
Gear (main reason I quit when this was on SEA) it’s nearly impossible to gear correctly. It’s entirely RNG. Most games let you far for certain sets, this game doesn’t really reliably so that. You can reroll sets but again complete RNG.
Another gearing issue is half the sets are useless. Aside from super niche scenarios I don’t understand the need for anti class specific sets. HP/def/evade/atk/spd/cdr should be the only core sets in the game. (Spectral etc fine)Show lessDral137
Great Game but…
Honestly the but has nothing to do with the game itself, the developers just seem unable to push a successful update, which forces me into an update loop until i get annoyed and reinstall the whole game.
It’s really aggravating when the app requires an app store update every odd week and then has to be uninstalled because the update won’t be recognized.
Probably should have made sure the app version was stable before launching PC, but since it’s a software issue it’s not as big of a deal, since the game is still awesome.Show lessBlueberrymuffin066
Game Needs to Download But Won’t?
I just tried to login to my game today on my iPhone. And it’s saying I need to go to the APP store to complete update. I do and the update just says waiting, won’t start to update at all?? Won’t do anything and I can’t open the game. But the game is amazing, different, and super fun. Definitely makes me wanna spend money. But I don’t have to. It’s just good all around. Everything. Character designs, fighting graphics, skills, ships, city’s, skins/costumes, pricing on items, I mean everything.Show lessAngelJade1623
Stuck?
Opened the game for first time played through tutorial did a lot of gacha draws got some good stuff (I think) then I closed the game.
Re-opened the game and now it’s stuck on a loading screen that I can tap to flash. Swirl and swirl it goes. And it says please wait. I’ve been waiting for what feels like half an hour now. Why.Show lessCookieMan20051

DISCLAIMER: I am currently writing this review after I’ve already uninstalled the game roughly half a year ago.
TDLR: Definite recommend- simple (don’t really have to use your brain that much) strategy, great graphics, good characters & backstory, and intriguing story. Also Korean.
I genuinely did enjoy playing the game, experiencing the story, the characters, and the combat. The only problem is, I played everything I’m fairly sure I could’ve and I’m not a very patient man so of course- I uninstalled to go download something else on my phone. I would come back if they added more story bits but personally it was a one and done deal. For those wanting to play I’d definitely recommend this game, great fun, nice time spender. You don’t have to pay to play/win, and it uses strategy (unless you filled your squad with overpowered units) to win the game, although it’s not Arknights kind of strategy I still do enjoy the simple strategy thing it has. This is definitely a strategy and growth focus game. Lost of free resources available to allow your team grow larger and stronger every day. The game favours more towards F2P than P2W.
For PVE you just have to be patient and enjoy the every minutes of the game to growth your team stronger.
For PVP, this game is really more strategy and skill focus. Sure by P2W, you can get more and better characters faster than those F2P player. But that won’t give you much advantage in PVP if you lack the skill and experience with this game’s combating system.
My only desired left is if this game could add in 120 fps support for device with 120 HZ screen. So I could enjoy a smoother game experience.Show lessAmekn of the Fair

I’ve been playing this game since the beta and I must say it has quickly became one of my favorite F2P/GATCHA game by far. I love much of what the game has to offer. However, lately I’ve been experiencing consistent crashes which is completely ruining my experience. This mostly occurs as I navigate through menus. The game would just freeze then take me back a few seconds before. You can’t even imagine how annoying this is when managing your inventory. Even when I do summons the game would freeze then take me to the menu screen. The summon still is counted for, but I wouldn’t know what I got. Also during PvP, when picking your load out it would freeze in the middle of your selection and place you at your previous load out. It’s becoming unbearable at this point. Not sure if the Counterside community ever addressed this but I hope the developers can fix this issue.Show lessLoneWolf5545

The game is amazing, the animations are very beautiful. The combat is addicting and fun. The star of the show is the story, which is amazingly at the top and sometimes beyond for gacha standards.
The biggest flaw is ranked PvP having a bare bones system. Its solely based on your rating, so mismatches can occur due to huge gear or level differences. They need to adjust ranks for losses too. Tier differences occur at 100pts at higher ranks. Losing to someone 51pts below you results in the max loss of 25pts. Beating someone 100pts above you results in a gain of 16pts. So if you have a 1:1 you have a negative gain at "platinum" rank. This would have made sense if it was just bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond - but there is also master, grandmaster and challenger... so the negative growth comes too early.
Lastly for iPad mini 6, this game does not have the updated aspect ratio. So menus are cut off and in combat, you are severely handicapped. Your opponent has almost 33% more view than you. Not sure why this game being 2.5yrs old in Korea still isn't updated correctly.Show lessKuboshi

I actually like this game but 1) why’s it using 10gig of storage!! 2) why are the devs pedos and making skimpy skins for child characters?
Edit: you haven’t looked into this cos more underage swimsuits have just been added and also now the game freezes on mobile whenever you try to do a raidMr bridger
