  • Worth every penny

I’ve played both versions of Portal and love their repeat playability. This game is no different. It has the whimsy, humor and brain frying challenges of the original Portal game, but now with bridge building and structural engineering. I love the “test” mode and how weak areas are highlighted in red and I love the spectacular crashes and crumbling of structures that don’t hold up. Sound effects are super cool and the explosions are very realistic. This is a fun game. Buy it...there’s a piece of cake in it for you. 😎

  • Best mobile physics puzzle game

I use this game to teach my nephew about engineering and have fun at the same time.
  • A few fixes and this game will go from good to great!

I love the Portal series. The graphics and style of this game make me feel like I’m playing a Portal game. But many times I find the Test button not working, that needs to be fixed. Also, it would be great if Johnson had a part in narrating the game. The difficultly ramps up fairly quick and it can be a little confusing how to get through some levels. I want to love this game but so far I just like it.

  • I can’t put this down!

    To the developers,

I really never play mobile games. I usually stick to my consoles and just check social media on my phone, but WOW! This game is so fun. I really can not put my phone down. I picked it up because I really like portal, but now I want to try all of the other bridge constructor games. The game has good humor and works great on a mobile device! I can’t wait to see the next mashup y’all can come up with!

  • Incredibly Clever and Innovative!!!

This game is amazing! The possibilities are endless! To combine bridge building with portals is such a unique way to get the most out of each level. I have always been a fan of bridge building games so I was excited when this game came out! I really hope they keep adding new levels and updates! This game is well worth the money if you are a fan of physics and bridge builders. Also, the dialogue in-game is very funny and clever, making you actually want to read what the story has to say. So far I have no complaints about this game and I hope the developers pay themselves on the back for this one and continue to add levels onto this game over time, it would also be cool to see different difficulties with heavier vehicles or maybe the vehicles carry heavier cargo. I recommend this game to anyone and everyone!

  • iCloud sync, please!

Okay, first of all, the game is great. I bought the desktop version and was instantly addicted.

However, when I bought the iPhone version so I could continue playing when I’m away from my computer, I was disappointed to find out that the save game wouldn’t sync with the desktop version. You have to start the entire game from the beginning.

Devs, please add an option for iCloud sync!

  • Cloud save optional!

I have the game on my phone and iPad. I played for a few hours yesterday on my phone then my kids started playing on the iPad.

My game was over written by my kids and now we can’t play the game without over writing each other. Very frustrating!

I’ve disabled Game Center on my phone but the saved game reload prompt still hits me. ****Please Devs make it stop saving and over writing games! Give ME the option to disable it and save locally!****

  • Very fun - makes me want to be in construction! :)

I love Valve and Half-Life, and Portal was so fun when it came out. I love puzzles, and now I can have a Portal-themed game on my phone and/or iPad! I prefer to use on my phone so I can play on the go. All the humour of GLaDOS is there, this time with an Aperture employee. Keep in mind this is a bridge-building game, and not the same type of puzzles as in the original first-person games, but they are just as exciting, albeit in a different way. You have to ensure that you use clever use of physics and structural engineering to make sure your fellow employees don't fall in the green goo. Spoiler alert: it melts them! :'( I don't usually write reviews because I can be lazy but I want to get the word out so the developers can update content and add more levels over time. It's a lot of fun and I find myself playing more and more. Thanks for a really cool game!

  • Decent

This game is... meh. The portal themes are great and GLaDOS’ commentary is fun, but i found that the game started out fun, but then became tedious and headache inducing with the later levels. After level thirty I stopped having fun, the game became a chore to play and I never left it feeling good. The bridge mechanics are overly precise, moving one node to the left will cause everything to fall apart and although this level of precision sounds great, it can be really irritating.
I love puzzle games, especially portal 1 and 2, but this game was kind of disappointing.
Also I got really annoyed with the loading times, I’ve played fully 3D games on ios that have shorter load times than this and it spends way too much time trying to sync to the internet. Not to mention when it just decides to crash for no reason, but these weren’t HUGE issues, but they didn’t make my experience with the game anymore enjoyable.
The games decent if you have a head for engineering and like hard games, but I personally didn’t enjoy it and professionally didn’t find it all that engaging.

  • Cloud storage issue

I install on iPad. I play 3 levels. I install on iPhone and I sadly have to start from scratch so I just pass the first quizz and dont play level 1. I go back to iPad the next day. I have to start again from level 1?! I play 5 levels. The next day I open the iPad and it loads from the cloud and I have lost all iPad achievements again! It feels like each time I open the iPad it restores from my iPhone saves that is level 1 and never actually overwrites and saves my iPad achievements. I REALLY dont want to play again those 5 levels to lose them one more time. Very annoying that I can not just chose where to load from.
    The game seems good though.
