Playback doesnt work properly, unless im on home wi-fi i cant even view the camera. Used to work great now - doesnt work at all.
Unable to connect
I have just installed the XBell but unable to pair it with my iPhone it’s not supported by 5Ghz there is no 2.4Ghz net work any more so unable to pair it to the phone waste of money
No ring tone when button press

Since iPhone update all the xbell gives me is random pir notifications and then door bell pressed that to comes through as a notification not ring my phone.
This seems common looking at comments is it going to be looked at and fixed with a n update

This app has issues
You have to keep your phone on silent as you can’t turn down the volume of the doorbell when it rings on your phone which is annoying. Also the playback from past events on the time line doesn’t work properly.
Not happy
Camera is good, but even though pir set to Low, it’s going of random every 5 mins or so, even picking up cars on the road going past, I live in a small road, also postman walks to front door and it don’t go off, and don’t always ping on our phones.
Won’t be using it much longer unless that sort it out with a better firmware, I disabled pir and it’s still recording ghosts as nothing there when viewing.

Works as a basic video doorbell
As a basic doorbell with video features this works acceptably. When someone rings the doorbell I can usually pull up the video an see who is there, and speak to them over the device. However, if you’re interested in this device for home security or the motion sensor capabilities I’d recommend another device. The motion sensor works intermittently at best. Sometimes it picks up when a person comes to the door, sometimes not. More often it is triggered by random movement in the yard. As others have mentioned, the lag between when the motion sensor is triggered and the camera starts recording is wide, typically resulting in the camera missing the actual activity at the door. Further, the cloud storage doesn’t work at all. Not once in the past year that I’ve had this device has anything ever been stored in a cloud server. In fact, the only thing that is ever recorded is the most recent motion capture, which is subsequently deleted within an hour. The device does not store any video long term unless you manually tell it to do so in the moment. That video is stored on a card in the device itself. Again, THERE IS NO VIDEO CLOUD STORAGE WITH THIS DECICE.
Other more minor issues, the battery life is awful, requiring a charge once a week. I tried hooking it up to the power source with the original doorbell but that doesn’t provide enough power to charge the battery, so I have to remove the doorbell unit and charge it for a few hours each week. The video doesn’t always pick up when someone is at the door, the the doorbell alert sound on my phone goes on for way too long with no way to adjust the notification sound.
In summary, as the most basic video doorbell, it’s an ok device, but if you’re looking for any kind of higher functionality like with a Ring or some of the more expensive models, I’d suggest spending a little more money and getting one that works correctly

Good door bell can be improved
So far so good. I am not sure you can add alert when battery is low? Also is it possible to buy a better and more powerful battery? It is run out in 2-3 months. I need something can last a 6 months or a year.
Don’t recommend
This camera is awful mostly because the app needs a lot of updating. The motion detection is very easily triggered by leaves blowing across my yard, but rarely picks up on people walking by and it doesn’t matter what level of sensitivity I set it to. The notification sounds and vibrations run on for a very long time which is annoying and whenever I try to scroll back to see a specific time with action it never wants to go and instead goes back to a scene from year ago that was never saved. The only thing this is good for is as a fake decoy as something that works to deter thieves.
