  • Fun! Hard too!

I love this game. The animation, the story is fun, the cooking is pretty cool too - ok & its hella hard. I don’t mind the challenge at all, it’s definitely a break from the same old Delicious formula & that is fresh & fun & yet I am going to agree with other reviews when people are asking for more variety. I’m stuck on the chocolate store levels right at the end & they are so hard to complete but I’m also making $ so when I get to the next episode I’ll be able to buy the outlandishly expensive upgrades - because yes, the upgrade items are too much. I agree as well with others that although I have all the upgrades for the chocolate levels, many times a level ends & regardless if I have served everyone full orders & got all 3 hearts or coins, I will have to buy +30 seconds to finish. That is not cool. I know you’re working out the kinks & hope to see some improvements that can help such as extra tips for full orders & points for cleaning tables in a row or having clean tables @ the end of levels. One last thing...where is Carl?? 😂

  • Great so far, but one personal issue.

I love the gameplay and story. I’m on level 36 of Episode 3. The upgrades are very expensive as some people have said, but I don’t think they’re that bad. I enjoy returning to do some bonus levels and practicing for some extra gold, and I complete all 3 stars on each level.

However, on some of the later levels, specifically ones where you have to make a certain amount of gold with a limited number of customers, even with all the upgrades and completing all the orders perfectly, I’ll fall just short of the requirement, and am forced to use the “+3 customers” boost. I’ve had to do it twice now, and if this trend keeps up, I won’t be able to continue playing. Setting a high bar is fine, it promotes challenge, but setting it out of reach isn’t. Unless I’m missing something, please fix this issue. I love this game, and would hate for it to be ruined by something so trivial. Thanks.

  • Honestly Amazing!

I love almost everything about this game, from the amazing art style to the new areas. The new way to play is really good and refreshing and even though I don’t love it the fact that you don’t have to check customers out is really fun. The only part I don’t like is that I worry that the story isn’t going to line up with the other delicious games I’ve had the pleasure of playing. The new turn the story takes looks like a good idea but I just wish you could make it line up with the original story. Plus if you could add a few twists to the levels like challenges it would make it 100% better!!!

Overall I think this is an amazing game with lots of promises and I just really like the idea that you can replay levels to get more money that’s a good idea.

I have a question is this the retelling of true love or is it before that?

  • Good story, okay gameplay

The story and Emily’s character has a lot more depth, especially in comparison to the lighter, zanier later games. So if you’re looking for something similar to the Heart’s Medicine story depth that doesn’t get as dark, then this is a good game.

Unlike Road Trip though which I’m playing at the same time, gameplay is really redundant. There is definitely more challenge with the different tasks/goals in Road Trip, while World’s goals feel exactly the same, even though there are supposed level differences. You HAVE to replay levels to get enough coins for upgrades, but it gets extremely tedious as the levels are almost exactly the same. There’s no “make x amount of food” goals or multi task goals, which is disappointing and frankly makes the game boring without.

Hoping there is more variety in future levels but have been enjoying Road Trip a lot more despite its zany tone. A mix between the gameplay of Road Trip and the plot/character of World would make this game perfect.

  • Nostalgia Lane 🥰

OK, so I know there are lotta reviews on here complaining about gems and coins. Allow me to bring in a more positive review.

If you are a fan of the old Delicious Emily games, I’m speaking in regards to Delicious 1 and Delicious 2 - Then I feel that this game is for you. I’ve been playing the delicious series from the very beginning. The game certainly dials it back in terms of the vibrant and zany world of older Emily in the height of #momlife and brings it back to the simpler times, without compromising storyline or the ability to travel and meet a variety of characters. I was becoming overwhelmed with the Emily story line of the past and I really think they’ve done a good job of taking all the important parts of the old universe while keeping it fresh.

I also adore the new art style, it’s probably the best part about this game. Also, anyone that has play the old games should know, that it is best to fully complete levels and all their tiers in order to progress affectively. This is the best way to play the game without having to spend money. I also like that they add the option to buy gems for those who want a quicker play through.

Definitely give this game a chance! It’s supposed to continually add levels so it’ll deathly be worth the money. I spent hours playing this game, and I’m totally addicted to it, and I have not had to spend a single dime.
