Response from developer

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave this review. Recipients do not need to download the Blinq app or create an account in order to save your contact details. iPhone users will see a prompt to 'View' the card in Blinq, which is an iOS-specific workaround we've created which uses what is called an App Clip, and is so far the best way we've been able to allow recipients to seamlessly save contacts to their iPhone. There are no additional downloads, sign-ups or extra information that the recipient needs to provide. After saving the contact, the recipient can then delete the Blinq App Clip if they wish, and this will not remove the contact from the device. If you need any further assistance or clarification, please don't hesitate to drop us a line at support@blinq.com, we'll be happy to assist further!—Blinq Support

LIVE THIS APP SO FAR

So much better than the dot RFiD cards and wristbands that required you to walk the lead through how to save your contact info to their phone. If they didn’t complete all three steps which were not exactly intuitive, the contact would t be saved and you’d have no idea. This app allows them to share their info back. I’m loving it so far.

Quick and easy to use, well designed

Tried a few different products and found this to be the best overall

Doesn’t stick in other people’s phones

Love what the app is supposed to do but it doesn’t stick in other people’s phones. Maybe I’m doing something completely wrong here? I simply press to make it send to the other persons phone and it looks like it’s there, but for some reason it just NEVER saves to the user’s phone. I don’t get it. A for effort and it’s super close, but there is just no clear way of making it stay in the other phone’s contacts. If it worked as expected, I would have easily given this app 5 stars. Maybe an update will change this? Hope so.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave this review. Recipients of your card who are using an iPhone will need to complete the following steps to save your card to their device: Tap 'Save to Contacts' > follow the prompts to view the card in Blinq > then tap 'Done'. They'll see confirmation it has saved, and they can then share their details back with your via the Lead Gen form. Android recipients can complete the following steps: Tap 'Save to Contacts' > accept the prompt asking permission to download the contact > wait a few seconds for the file download to complete > tap 'Open file' > tap 'Import' > save the contact details to the relevant phone profile. Other Blinq users who receive your card will have it open in the Blinq app where it automatically saves your card to their in-app Contacts list. If your recipients are following these steps, but are still unable to save your contact, please send through a request to support@blinq.me walking us through this in more detail. If you can include screenshots or screen recordings than that'd be great too.—Blinq Support

Can’t redownload it

It is a great app, but after having to have the inner workings of my phone replaced; I cannot redownload Blinq. I don’t know why. I need to because I have to update my status but it’s impossible. Is there someone who can help with this?

Oddly, after I sent the review and worked with the app some more I was able to download it. Then I was able to update my profile. I really do love it. It makes sharing my card easy and quick without the environmental impact.

So amazing if you set it up right

I set this up with a very strategic picture that points up. When I share my card, it makes it so that people know to click on the link. So I don’t know how many people have had access to my card though. It’s be great to have some analysts. Love this app for my photography and website design business

Love It

Excellent, seamless, and effective mode for business card sharing. Some things like checks and business cards just won’t quite fully die out because they feel a specific niche. Blinq in my book has eliminated the need for physical business cards. Being able to both share my information as well as easily integrate others’ without having to keep track of physical cards, hunt them down when I actually need the number, etc. is GREAT. Highly recommend!

Great app

Have this as I am a chauffeur driver, it’s a great way to connect with my guests. Highly recommend it

So hard to use, doesn’t do basic things easily

Why is creating a business card so hard! And expensive subscription service for a virtual business card! So silly

Super simple - create more than one card - standout

I was at an Ai conference yesterday and used Blinq a couple of times to peoples surprise. Probably similar to the same experience the first time I someone opened Blinq on their phone for me. Blinq is so good. The only small quirk you have to adapt to is a phone security requirement that makes you have to double save which is just one of those things, so dont think it is yourself ;-). The other awesome thing about Blinq is you can create more than one card, so you can have a card for work, for projects, for home. And when someone has received your Blinq Card they can provide their details which appear in Blinq and you can add as a contact.
