Great application!

Easy to use and optimize the functions continuously.

Doesn’t work with iPhone

Downloaded the app and followed the instructions. The app requests access to your local network but under settings there is no option to allow it access to your local area network. So the app won’t work.

Response from developer

Hi! Please find the "Omada App" under the "Settings" of your mobile phone or tablet and enable local network permission. Then you can use the App normally. And if you have any other problems, please contact us at feedback.app@tp-link.com or use Feedback on your Omada App to describe your issue in detail.

Good, continuing to improve

TP-Link continues to improve their product. This review is based on v4.8.30. Convenient new features are released with corresponding controller updates, but some issues persist. Dark mode finally added. Bugs/Issues Include: Not able to set wireless network security to PPSK or modify PPSK profiles. • When creating a wireless network, unable to select “WPA 2 Only” encryption - must select “WPA/WPA2” which is less secure or “WPA2/WPA3-SAE” which some clients don’t support. • List of wireless clients no longer shows which EAP each client is connected to. This is a step backwards! • Unable to run a speed test from within the app.

No horizontal view?

App is ok but why can’t it be rotated, that’s a pretty basic feature…

Not all settings are available

Cannot switch VPN on or off. Lots of settings missing from the iOS app.

Portrait only.

Yet *another* app that forces you into portrait mode. As a productivity user who has Omada as a home setup, it probably doesn’t come as a surprise that I tend to use my iPad with a keyboard and typically have my iPad in landscape mode.

Unfortunately Apple provides no way to force the rotation of apps made for iPad. Ironically, I can do it for iPhone so I’d rather have the iPhone version of this app than the iPad one but I have no choice to do that too.

Leaving a star since I appreciate that they built the app, but it’s so annoying to use; only slightly less so than their web app on iPad. It’s a good web app too, but yet again, poor optimization for iPad.

Speed of network

Can you increase the number you are allowed to put in for the speed of your network? You are max at 1000. I have a 1.2gb per sec network. The speeds are increasing so it needs to be much faster at least 2.5 gb per sec.

Very basic, doesn’t even work in landscape

I’ve recently swapped from Unifi to Omada and was hoping that this app would be as good as the unifi one. It seems it isn’t and won’t even work in landscape mode which is a pain when using a docked ipad.

This needs a little more development still to include more of the features of the web portal.

Good, continuing to improve

TP-Link continues to improve their product. Convenient new features are released with corresponding controller updates, but some issues persist. Dark mode finally added. Bugs Include: • When devices come back online after being offline, an alert is received that “4 APs have come back online.” Except, the network has 2 APs, a switch, and an OC200. • Initial app opening fails to load traffic statistics - must pull down and refresh for data to appear. • Not able to set wireless network security to PPSK. • When setting VLAN for SSID, you must provide the VLAN number. However, there is no place in the app to find this information. • Unable to run a speed test from within the app.

Decent, missing option to control router

Good app pretty basic, but I would like to be able to control omada compatible routers without having to do it through a software controller
