App is now a scam
Added support for Zcash which has been widely know for its links to literal murders and scams of users. They paid 250k to get Zcash added and cakewallet sold out for it.

I tried exchanging btc to monero with this app. Set up both wallets, transferred btc to the wallet, then exchanged it for monero all within the app. Sounds convenient, right? Wrong.
As I was waiting for the exchange to finish, I see it complete, and the SECOND it completes, the monero is sent to an outside wallet.
No way a human did it that fast. I’m 90% sure they just siphon a certain number of exchanges automatically and then blame the user.
I was told it was my fault because my app wasn’t up to date (no notifications told me I needed an update). They said they’d try to get the money back but had to focus on issues that weren’t caused by “user error”. I don’t see terrible security as a user error. These guys are scam artists. Look online, it happens a lot.
The positive reviews here are either fake (standard with iOS apps) or people that have used it without being robbed yet. Because in all honesty, the idea of the app is great. Too bad they don’t take their security as seriously as their snide customer service remarks.

We’ve immediately solved the BTC security issue that was found in May, 2021. Cake Wallet app had an external security audit that proves that the app is 100% safe. We believe that either you must have seen the warning instructing you not to send funds to your wallet, or you failed to update your Cake Wallet app, in breach of our Terms of Service.

I tried this app with a small amount of BtC and I’m so glad I did. It was stolen and support couldn’t do anything to help except pass the buck. Stay .away!
Works Well
This app needs more attention and love and care. Updated constantly user friendly as well.
It functions
Overall it gets the job done. Could use bigger range of coins. UI needs a little tweaking for instance when trying to convert the keyboard keeps blocking access to the address bar for receiving.
So confused
Every time I send try to send monero my app crashes. This is getting very annoying please help.
Money stolen
Sent about $20 worth of btc to the address and I haven’t gotten any of it back still waiting to receive it but it’s highly unlikely thanks a lot cake wallet
Randomly resyncs from scratch
One of my favourite wallets, if it had tomochain and pirate chain would be even better.
but on iPhone every few week it will randomly make me re-sync all 2million+ blocks, meaning I have to stare at my screen for at least a few hours because it also does not seem to sync in the background.

Slow
The time it takes to sync the blocks is insane, I can wait forever and it won’t sync. Tried resetting onto different nodes, reinstalling the app and still nothing.
