  • So many pop ups!

I’m rating this game 3 stars - it’s fun and mind numbing after a long day of work, which totally makes it a 5 star game, but the ads that are WAY too long and the 6+ pop ups every time you open the game are just too much. Open the game, choose play (duh, what else would you do???), get to the in screen map and automatically get notified about every time based thing that is going on or has ended and you have to click out of each of those. And maybe a new one has started so you have to click through all of those. Then any in-game ads for booster packs. And don’t forget the request to link to Facebook or the request to send you notifications for game updates (who would make that choice????). Then to play a game you get the option to choose boosters before you see the level. Then the option to get a random one within the start of the level. And then when you’re done an add that could easily be limited to 10-15 seconds. That’s a LOT of extra nonsense that is not actually playing the game and it wears me out. My SO was playing too but got so sick of the pop ups that they bailed.

  • Perfect, except for one thing

I am completely addicted to this game. I love it. I would give it five stars except for one thing: the Umbrella! It's not that it doesn't work. It does. However when I'm at the start of a level and the umbrella power up is not highlighted (ie I can't select it) I know the game doesn't have any water balloons in it. On the other hand, sometimes when the umbrella is actually flashing, as if to say "use me", and I select it .....once the game opens, I find there are no water balloons at all and I've wasted my umbrella! This happens about half the time, so needless to say I've wasted a lot of umbrellas! And then I'll get to another level where the umbrella is flashing, and I ignore it (having lost faith in it due to its previous deception)...only to find that this time I should have selected it because there ARE water balloons!! So frustrating because I've spent money on those things and I don't want to waste them!
    Please fix this!
    Otherwise...fabulous game!!!!!!

  • Fun, but...

It was a fun little game and I enjoyed wasting time on it. That ended when I got up to the first “locked gate.” It’s a progression stop where you either wait 4 hours to get another key, or bug your friends over Facebook for keys. No thanks. If it wasn’t for that progression stop, it would still be installed on my phone and get a higher rating.

In response to the Developer Response:

Just because it’s a familiar feature in these types of games doesn’t mean progression gates / time gates are a good idea. They’re annoying, disrupt gameplay, and are a quick way to drive customers away. I uninstalled the game because I don’t want to stop playing and wait for hours to continue and I’m certainly not going to bother people in Facebook for keys to keep playing. Gimmicks like this are why “free to play” games are anything but. I’d much rather pay for a full, complete game upfront than be micro-transactioned to death.

  • Then I Found Out How the Game Worked

Starts out with way big support. Fun, quirky animation, don¡t other with the music.
Got to level 79 and wow, became impossible. Not enough moves, no extras, nothing without doing what I refuse and signing into FB, working with friends, (my friends don't do games, besides not giving anymore of my or anybody else's info) or, spending money.
Should be some way to earn some of the extras without signing my life away. Sorry guy, as funny as it is you ate still only a game. I'll watch the shorts, I know you get something per play.

Balance out your incentives, too much or none at all, makes for a deleted game and one star.

    UPDATE
It appears when my app opened for the first time I was not led through the introductory levels explaining the different aspects of the game. I discovered this when I opened the app on my iPhone. Well, what a surprise when I went through each level learning all the parts. No wonder I was frustrated, I had to stumble through on my iPad with no idea how things worked.

Fun when you know what's going on.

  • Very cute fun but too expensive

Very cute, challenging game. There are some nasty obstacles. I’ve made it to level 169. Right now I’ve encountered squirrels and they are frustrating. I’m still not sure the most efficient way to get passed the flies.
I’m not a gamer. I’ve spent $4 on games to bypass ads, etc. If you win, they give you boosters until you lose and then you’re stuck. The in app purchases are too much! The purchases do not get me what I want. I’d like to be able to buy owl vision forever rather than just getting it for a few levels. 70 coins for 10 bubbles is not a good deal, considering how hard it is to earn or buy coins. I’ve already spent close to $20 on this game. I’m done. Deleted.

  • AWESOME fun

I’m am so delighted to find a game that isn’t mad hungry for players to constantly buy, buy, buy something! The game is relaxing but at the same time your “shooting” skills need to be sharp. How can I say it?.... it is FUN to play.. Try it! The developers have it that if you don’t complete a level within a certain amount of ‘shots’ ...where you have buy coins to continue... they allow a do over on that level. Boy, you really get sharp in the do over!! Lol. Thanks to the developers. I hope continued play keeps me as enthusiastic. So far for me the ads haven’t become obtrusive.

  • Addicting... even for me!

I don’t play games. I’m one of those boring people who only have “useful“ apps on their iPhone… You know the ones – spreadsheets, photo editors, recipe collections, housework organizers, and the like. But I DO like comics, and Simon’s Cat makes me smile. So when Facebook vomited up a suggestion for this game, I was somehow lured out of my doldrum state, and quickly found myself downloading this engaging game! I get just enough of a rush with each completed level that I am compelled to advance to the next steppingstone, but the OCD in me struggles with progressing forward without first ensuring that I have maintained three stars along the way. The only aspect to the game that I find lacking is that the helpful hints when being introduced to new aspects of the game do not automatically turn off when you replay that particular level. Other than the feeling that 3.5 seconds of my life time are wasted in repeating the same identical steps (as opposed to the reality that I have allowed hours of my day to be consumed by an animated feline) I am quite the happy camper!

  • Furever A Fan

Simon’s bubble game is so well made I can’t get over the fact that’s it was actually free. It popped up in purrfect timing within an ad during one of the other games I was playing and so glad I clicked on it because this is my new go-to game. My favorite part has to be looking at all the funny and clever animations in map mode all along the level trail. It’s like watching a new cartoon snippet as the levels progress. Such a creative team behind this game.i love games where you can tell the developers put a lot attention to detail in its conception. It’s chock full of power ups, twist and turns and never gets boring. I’m only on level 30 but I haven’t even lost a life yet. It’s actually relaxing to play this game, unlike other frustrating games that just seem to want your money. I deleted Candy Crush and Candy Crush soda months ago after playing many years. I hated getting stuck on levels for days and sometimes weeks. Simon’s Cat Bubble game is strategic but not to the point that it raises my blood pressure. I love this Meow-Velous game and look forward to seeing more surprises and meeting new felines along the way. Thank you for the entertainment to whoever the genius is/are that created this game!

  • Better Than Most

I’ve tried many games like this, and many of them look and feel generic. Most of them I try and then delete them right away. This one has smooth play, as well as looking and feeling like it was designed well. The only other bubble-pop game that I keep on my phone is AB Pop. There aren’t a bunch of pop-up ads that you are forced to wait through between levels on this game either. I haven’t run across any levels that the bubbles are arranged like a spinning wheel and the goal is to get to the center. If there aren’t any like that, that is the only thing that I would change. I like games that have many different colorful layouts and goals, and that is what keeps me playing. This game is definitely worth downloading and I hope that as updates are added, there will be a growing variety of layouts and challenges as well.

  • Expensive. Very, Very Expensive.

I want to give this app higher stars, I really do— the game play is fun, the animations are charming, and the premise is cute. But I can’t, because in order to progress in this game you have to shill out a *lot* of actual, real world cash, and you get very little in return for what you’re buying. They have ways you can “earn” coins, but it’s such a small amount as to be useless— you can watch an ad and get one coin! The problem is that to buy more balls-which you *will* need— you have to spend seventy coins. Seventy. Not seven, seventy. As a result of this, I’m just going to delete the app. I don’t mind spending 5$ here or there in games I enjoy— after all, it helps with development costs. But this pricing is too predatory, especially for what is, when boiled down, just another marble shooter game. Save your money and get something that doesn’t charge you, instead.
