New upgrades
There had been many updates that had really improved the game. But here are some opinions that I think should be added. First is new stadiums for the home run derby and all star game to be played. I feel like it isn’t as hype if we play at the same stadium for every event. I also would like to see catcher’s gear to be added into the game for a unique design instead of plain black. Different home run cameras would be cool, walk off celebrations would be hype. Bat flips would be cool if there that would cost gold and diamonds. New uniforms with different colors. A retractable roof for a future stadium would be nice to see. MANUally fielding would be great such as catching a fly ball. And robbing a homerun animation would be great even though that is a hard one to add. Maybe sleeves would add a different style for players. And more faces for players would be better. Hopefully y’all take this into consideration and WE APPRECIATE THE GAME. KEEP CONTINUING TO DO GOOD WORK. many players would love to join and be apart of this game.Show lessS.Richardson9293

This game is very fun and thoughtful. The slides, the computer AI, the pitch control and player control is all great. I am very impressed with the double plays and automatic base running that the game does for you. There are a few issues, however. It is very difficult to hit curves and knuckleballs. The computer, however, hits everything equally well. None of my players have ever been able to beat a double play, even my fastest players. This is not realistic and makes the game boring, especially after I have advanced to a higher level. I also can’t always make the base runners tag and run on a pop-up. This is automatic and I can’t force the runner back to the bag if it chooses to linger off the bag, which ruins the option to tag and run.
The choice of relief pitchers is baffling to me. The computer will suggest a pitcher when on AUTO and if you refuse, it leaves the old pitcher in without another option to switch. But it chooses pitchers sometimes that are in the yellow when there are fresh pitchers available. This needs to be fixed.
As I have progressed, my batters hit into gaps less and less, most of the time they now just hit the ball either to the first baseman or third baseman. Opposing pitchers are consistently throwing 104 MPH and more. The balls break too late to adjust. Opposing batters still hit the gaps a lot - especially the ninth inning. The game is incredibly for the first few seasons. At the start you do not need good players to win. This changes when you start to move up and recruiting tickets are impossible to get unless you open your wallet. Games are obviously scripted from the start and you can tell if the game wants you to lose. Hitting is easy one game and impossible the next with all hits going straight to an opposing players glove even with a perfect hit. Opposing teams pitchers are also able to pitch impossibly long while suffering no fatigue whatsoever. Batting eye is so screwed up when a silver player can’t even tell if a ball is going in the strike zone. Players conditions deteriorate so fast some after a few games. Auto inning is worthless and will literally make you lose every game you use it in. Opposing players are faster and have better batting eye as non upgraded players somehow. Players will try to take another bag for some reason even though you didn’t tell them to and they get out. The players you start with can’t be upgraded so you are stuck with insanely bad players that can’t be replaced without the ever elusive recruiting tickets. Everything is behind a paywall, you can put gear on players but you have to pay for it or you can upgrade but you have to pay for it. All in all it’s fun and the start but becomes frustrating and I don’t know how much longer I will be able to play it until it becomes too stressful to enjoy.Show lessfffeeeiiihhh

I have been playing this game for a few months, and it never gets old. The gameplay is simple yet fun, and upgrading players is very straightforward. However, recruit tickets should be on the reward tables far more often. I am currently in Champion II and I get something like 2 tickets all season. At this point, almost every team has a full team of bronze players, as well as a handful of silver players. I have 2 bronze batters, 2 bronze pitchers, 3 silver batters, 1 silver pitcher, 3 gold batters, 1 gold pitcher, and a platinum batter. I started off focusing on batting, and then went to pitching. However, I am nowhere near a full bullpen of at least bronze players, while my opponents have had full bronze bullpens since the Master league. I’ve gotten to the point where I have to go back to Master III to sim games and actually win. Every game I auto in Champion league, I only do well with star players on the mound. If the player on the mound is a default player, they give up 5 runs per inning. I’m not saying you should lower the competition, but you should definitely make recruit tickets. The only way I can recruit new players is by using the FREE GEM thing and spending hours taking boring surveys. Please make recruit tickets more common.Show less-Chik-

Excellent game. The gameplay looks and feels like a mobile version of MLB The Show. The outfielders need to take better routes to line drives, I’ve given up too many doubles due to a line drive rolling to the wall when it could have been stopped before then. Also, there needs to be more ways to earn gold. Upgrades are almost impossible, I can never afford giving my pitchers different pitches to throw. Having every pitcher throw fastball curveball change up isn’t fun, please decrease the price of pitches. Also, give players the option to choose handedness when recruiting, instead of always making players R/R. Thanks for an awesome game! Update to this review: This game would be made infinitely more playable with farm teams, similar to MLB and their AAA and AA farm teams. Being in control of more teams after finishing legend would be a really cool feature.
UPDATE: PLEASE fix gem rewards, I’ve spent so much time doing the quizzes and still don’t receive most rewards, I am short over 4000!!Show lessbmann30

I play this game everyday whenever I have time. I like to get really good and then brag to my friends. TIPS. When pitching spend the extra coins on pitches like ephus pitch, knuckleball and gyroball. They are all great. When hitting with your non-star players use contact and with your stars use power. I got confused on bunting but to make contact you have to press bunt at the right time. The gem surveys are a scam though I spent 1 hour doing the surveys and none of them gave me the gems it said it would. The $30 premium daily pass is worth it because you get 2100 gems which costs like $20 and then you get badges like you get 5 diamond, platinum, gold, and silver badges which in total is about 3500 gems which is another $35-40 so you get over $50 worth of items back and it is so worth it. Raising your max energy is very worth it because you get more in the long run. I usually auto inning the pitching unless my superstar pitcher is in so then I just play the whole game. Well in conclusion it is a GREAT game with some minor adjustments.Show lessNoe112

Baseball 9 is great where you can upgrade and get new players on your baseball team. You can customize players and you can put them in home run contest and Allstar games. Not going to lie the developers should add a couple of changes and upgrades. First of off the developers should let you upgrade the stadium that you are playing in with your coins or diamonds. There should be a lot of customization for your stadium that you can spend your game currency on. Second of off there should be a lot more customizable options for your players. Third there should be an easier way to get diamonds, recruit tickets, and coins without spending money, completing surveys on the internet, or watching videos. Overall this game is pretty fun, and these changes would make the game %100 a lot more fun. This game also cost no money, no Wi-Fi, and THERE IS NO ADDS, if you watch videos to get rewards, that’s the only requirement for adds. Ok, so I should probably preface this by saying that I play this game daily. No joke. I love this game. However, playing a game you love pretty much daily will lead to you noticing problems and/or things you’d like to see in game. For me, I love this game and everything. However, I have just one suggestion. Usually, when you’re playing defense, you play as the pitcher. Now, for me that was fun for the first season, but after that it got boring, and I figured out how to skip an inning, so I would do that, until I created my ace and would pitch whenever my ace was the starter. My suggestion would be that you can play as other positions. I’m not saying all the time, but maybe you can slot them in sometimes, as there is over 100+ games in one season. I play as catcher, so I think it’d be really cool. You can call for certain pitches, let’s say, and then the pitcher would throw. And just like the pitcher, you could see when someone is trying to steal and throw them out. And it would make sense to price it. Maybe with gems, or coins? Heck, I’d even pay a dollar or 2 for one player! Just a suggestion, thanks.Show lessdodgers.chloe

I recently deleted just about every game off my phone except for BASEBALL 9! This game is actually hard and exciting unlike most other baseball games. The only thing I would change, would be to be able to change customization and gear to whatever I want once I’ve purchased something, like every face, stance, bat, chain, etc. should be interchangeable once one is purchased. Another idea is to make customization and even gear more customizable. Like have different hairstyles, hair colors, skin colors, face shapes, facial hair, weight, height, etc. That way we can really emulate a player or person in real life as accurate as possible with our players in the game. And maybe make gems a little easier to get, but otherwise just keep adding in new updates (and maybe an online multiplayer mode soon), but this is the best game on the app store without a doubt even if it stays how it is forever, It’s the only game I have and I play it every day!Show lessfuture mlb star

I love this game. I have been playing for a long time. It’s starts off easy but then can get very challenging. I wish you could play online and against friends. But the thing I have a problem with is that, it gets much harder to upgrade your team. You get badges that u can use to upgrade players. And as you move up in a league it gets harder and the team are all better. Once you move up, u seem to not get as much badges which is unfair because the opposing teams have all gold and platinum and I still have bronze players. It’s very aggravating , I couldn’t sim any games because your team won’t win because they aren’t good enough. It took me a long time to play 168 games and I lost in the playoffs to platinum pitchers when I only have one. I just wish they gave you a better opportunity. Also, leveling up is useless, all u get full recharge and maybe 3 condition drinks, which are super common. This game could be better and more fun, but of course I am going to continue to play this, because it is fun but I hope they read there reviews and improve it.Show lessjasonp1352
