Good app when it was free
Really bummed to see that is amazing app now cost nearly $8. Unfortunate especially when this is a land grant university. Should be free
A tool every naturalist should have!
I use this app for both work and recreation. It is extremely user friendly and has a variety of detailed pictures and descriptions. The filters option is great as it helps the user narrow down their search. It saves me a lot of time and I could not imagine being in the field without it.
Great app
I look at grasses all the time for work and could never find a good app to help me identify them until I found this one. The pictures are awesome and have great detail so you can compare them to what you are seeing out in the field.
Good start
This is an app I was really looking for, being new to Idaho and surrounded by beautiful grasses. I am, however, disappointed. It is not user friendly and moving around is quite tedious. It is just not there yet.
The grasses are listed in alphabetical order by common name. This means even related species are far apart in the app , e.g. the various wheat grasses. Some grouping by inflorescence type or habitat or flowering time or genus/family would definitely help. I know that filtering does that, but comparing species even then is hard... you canโt just flip back and forth between them. And having photos displayed in slideshow format would be much more useful than having to scroll all the way to the end to see them.
