  • So much content!

I adore this game! It has so many elements, I can play for hours each day before running out of game areas to play with, especially now that I’ve finally broken down and bought the ad-free package.

My one request is that the developers give us some way to sort our bears!!! It’s not so helpful to only see them by Rarity type when the Events sort them by their types and levels. It’s hard to scroll through 40 bears just to check if your celebrity bears are all upgraded before the event comes. Some kind of sorting mechanism so we can choose the order we view our bears would be great!

  • Love this game!

I used to play the original Alphabear years ago, and recently thought of it again and found Alphabear 2. I love playing this game; ideally, I would play for hours straight. The only thing that I don’t like about this game is that there’s a cap on how many ads you can watch to get extra energy per day. I would gladly watch more ads in order to keep playing. I’m not a big fan of the fact that there’s energy to use to play in the first place, but since it does promote the game-player to watch ads or buy energy, I get that it helps fund the game. I just wish there wasn’t a cap, that’s literally the only downside—I can’t wait for the energy to refill on its own. OTL Outside of that, fantastic game! Such a cute style, enjoyable to play, never had any glitches or other issues. Love it.

  • Best game ever

I love to play this game so much! It’s like Word Chums, but better! You get to have different cute little bears! If you actually read the captions and the words they are saying, it will guide you along the way and tell you a really fun story. If I could I would play this game for a whole day. I have had about 3 hours of experience but this game was loveable the first second I played. It is a chill and relaxing game for if you and your kids are having a stressful day. 5 star, definitely. Beautiful, cute, and awesome game. Anyone who is reading this review should be able to understand me unless you haven’t played the game.

  • Incomplete word library

Great gameplay, graphics and also appreciate the minimal ads. But the word library need to be updated and improve or set clear boundaries what kind of words pr names cam be used. Some names state or countries are accepted and some are not. Like a Venice can be used but when put Denver, you cant. Some words also dont make sense like its accepted but when i look it up on a dictionary it doesn't exist. Words like Yea or Haha is accepted but some words sometimes doesn’t accept even if its a common word or name.

  • Love this cute little word game.

I first found Alphabear on Snapchat, and I loved playing it. I figured there must be a stand alone game, and this is it! However, I wish this game was a blend of the two games. I love the town aspect and leveling up part of the Snapchat game, but I love the wordplay of this iOS game. So I often switch between the two games. The mad libs after each round are entertaining, and some are downright hilarious. I’m trying to get my nieces and nephews to play. It would be a great word building game for them.

  • A solid word puzzle game

It’s pretty fun. For the puzzles are usually the right amount of challenging but fun. I love the art direction too. Very cute, and very welcoming. It’s pleasing to look at and the designs are all cute.

Sometimes it feels like I go through the honey (what you spend to play each puzzle) a bit quickly though. But maybe I just play it in one go a lot.

The adds aren’t usually too bad. Sure they’re a tad annoying but they offer a paid version so you don’t have to see them, which I think is fair. I did have an add that required me to interact with it for a minute before it would go away, and honestly that was a bit of a turn off. More so for the game it was trying to get me download than Alphabear, but you know, still kinda annoying.

Overall though it’s a good game. Especially if you like word puzzles and cute bears. I’d recommend it.

  • Pretty sick

There’s not that many ads, though you can choose to watch them if you’d like to earn more of the currencies. The characters are cute and their conversations can be funny. This game has a lot of content so I don’t think you’d be disappointed if you were looking for just a fun game or something to play for like a year. Oh and they have a little dress shop which is cool THOUGH THERE SHOULD BE MORE OPTIONS TO GET BLUE CLOTH. I need that Marilyn Monroe wig.

  • Started fun

The game is ok. Started out great. I paid the no ad which made it better. The idea is to level up your bears to be able to play the levels in the story line. That’s awesome until you get higher. The bears come up every 6 days to go to school to level up. One level at a time. If you’re lucky 2. Needless to say it takes months to get them high enough to play the story levels. So daily you play the school levels or the daily challenge which gets boring. This is not a game you can sit and play for hours. It’s not set up that way. Takes too long to regenerate energy and to level up the bears. So it’s just ok

  • Love the game, few complaints

I played SpryFox’s Triple Town (check that out if you like puzzle games), which led me to their first Alphabear game (fun but flawed, don’t bother tbh, skip straight to this game). I’ve paid for ad-free/lifted restrictions on all 3 games—fun and challenging, stylized and cute. My only gripe is that, when you get further into the game, it can take over a week to beat a certain level, because you have to wait for the type of bear you need to upgrade to have its special “bear school” day. I find that especially stupid, but I can see why they did it.

  • New Review

Okay, I just saw what you meant when app quit because there were no words left to make. It is frustrating but I see you are not breaking the rules and are being fair.
The new review is just the plain truth that I am addicted to this fun, nicely challenging game and I know the other customers will be too.
Okay my ‘bear friends’ let’s hug this out with a big bear hug.

    This is old review:

‘The app makers said they had fixed a bug that “caused the game to quit early under some circumstances.” They did not fix it at all. I used my coins which I had purchased to play the special event to earn honey which you must have to play the game. I estimate that the game ended early not allowing me to finish and even have a chance to earn honey 80% of the time. I changed my bears I used and strategies but still the game quit early time after time. This is no bug or accident - it is a way to cheat more money out of players. Please note that Alphabear 1 got similar complaints. Unless you enjoy being ripped off by cheating companies don’t play this game.’

    Developer Response

Thanks for the revised review! No worries; we're glad that you're passionate about the game. This is the old response: 'We did indeed fix "a bug that 'caused the game to quit early under some circumstances.'" The bug caused the game to end whenever 30+ tiles were on the board, which is not a proper reason for the game to end. This particular bug was introduced in version 01.09.00 and is fixed in version 01.09.01. There are some proper reasons for a game to end "early," which you can read about here: https://support.spryfox.com/hc/en-us/articles/218504898-My-game-ended-too-quickly . We did not "fix" those because the game is behaving properly so there is no "bug" to fix. If you've found a case where the game is still incorrectly ending early, please email support@spryfox.com the details and any relevant screenshots so that we can look into the problem.'
