Won’t work on IOS
You’re app downloads but it won’t connect with any of the Altair Bluetooth capable monitors! I need this for my job and you’re making us all look bad! Get it together please!
Atrocious app
This app does NOT work on iPhones -any iPhone. My coworkers and I have repeatedly tried to get it to work on various combinations of iPhone models and software versions and nobody has been able to connect. The Android version works perfectly fine but our company uses iPhones, so that means I have to use my personal phone when interacting with S5000s. Hey MSA if you're only going to give us two options - app or stand there for 30 minutes holding a finger over the "magic black spot", at least make sure the app actually works.

Does this work?
I am trying to connect to an Altair 4XR with no luck. MSA , please , it would be nice of you to display a lost of devices that work with the application, or if this is supposed to work with the 4XR, please make it work.
It’s ok, still a lot of flaws
I give it three stars because it’s a move in the right direction. But even still too this day the Bluetooth for his is horrible. We have been able to connect to it the vary first time after purchase, and that was the last time we were ever able to connect to our Gas monitor. And no one seems to know why.

App sucks and the units are horrible to use
We installed a bunch of ultimaX5000 CO sensors. At first some of us could connect using the app then it just stopped working. Even on sensors that we had already connected to, it just didn’t work. The units haven’t had any update and the app hadn’t been updated before we tried again.
We then updated the app and still had no luck.
Apparently the app is supposed to be updated again but I doubt that it’s going to be any good.
Also, the infrared buttons on the units are horrible. Infrared buttons on any instrument are garbage.

Fix auto shut off in iOS
Works as intended, but need to keep eye on the app while using otherwise will shut down and therefore disconnect from device. Really annoying
People need to READ
I’m sure this app works great when used with the intended device. Anyone that’s upset it doesn’t work with their Altair series device.... you need to read more. It doesn’t work with the Altair because it’s NOT FOR the Altair!! The Altair connect app is only available on AndroidOS.

This app won’t work on IPhone 11 max pro IOS. I downloaded the app and it won’t connect or detect any available MSA Altair 4xr gas detectors. Is there a patch or update for this app for IPhone?

Still needs improvement
I like how this app simplifies the setup, however, I think it would have been quicker if I set it up using the head itself. It kept losing connection with my IPhone. I would have to save the data (at one point 9 times) before it would write to the head. It kept coming up with a connection lost error. The platform seems good. The app is easy to use and would definitely speed up the setup if it would actually stay connected.
