  • Best $7 I’ve spent in a while!

Love this game! Just started Act II, about 3 hours in, and already I’m hooked! Takes elements from several different genres and blends them together very well. Never played Castlevania and have only played (and beat) Metroid Dread, but I can see me playing this A LOT! Might even check out others in the genre now. Great game, worth way more than they’re asking! (Side note, can’t comment on touch controls, have only played with controller.)

  • I phone Se 2nd gen

Now ever since I came back to the apple iPhone I see that this game respond better then it has in the past I do not see any lag and I do not have any problem with seeing what I am aiming at during battle now in the past I had a big issue with that and the lag a lot with my old iPhone Se but with this new iPhone Se y’all got it made so I can get back what I lost and I wanna thank you and that is why I gave y’all the 5 star’s for this game. And nice improvement on the game to.

  • Successor of Swordigo?

Supposedly this is the successor of a good game Swordigo, it has the same controls, but with dodging instead of shooting magic, and even the names of places are the same, like Florrenm and Kings Road. My biggest downside is that annoying Champion of Vallaris, all he does is vanish and you can’t even get time to heal after he fakes an attack and attacks with high damage after you dodge

  • Annoying

They keep spamming you to leave a rating, even when you’ve already declined. After a few more annoying messages, I’ve decided to give them the review. Just like you guys wanted, right? :)
  • The best mobile game I’ve ever played

Simple but incredible. I’ve been so disappointed that this developer doesn’t have any other games. I’ve gone back and played NG+ a few times just because I miss the UI and overall feel of this game. Id buy this game again if it meant the dev would put more out like it.
  • Great Metroidvania Game!

The combat is fast and flashy. Air combos, juggles, guard break, dive kicks. Large variety of enemies. I played with a mifi controller(Razer) and it played like a dream. This game is NOT roguelike. It's not really that hard (at least with a controller). Not too easy either though. I died many many times. For level up stats, I went with pure DPS (savagery and mastery), only getting enough Focus to be able to equip all trinkets. This left me dying in just a few hits (one hit on some boss moves) and made it more interesting for me. With a bunch of new weapons and trinkets and harder enemies and boss battles, NG+ is well worth the second pass. Great music. As a composer, I think it would've been cool to have someone do an original score instead of drawing from music licensing banks, but this is probably a smaller developer and might not have been possible for some reason, monetary or otherwise. Nevertheless it's a great selection of music. Also I'm pretty sure no one reading this cares at all😁. Bottom line. 5/5🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

  • Good but

Hard to jump that waste much time
  • Well worth it

I bought this game on Black Friday, it was worth it (probably worth more to he honest)
It’s got the right amount of casual and then annoying as hell because you can’t get passed a certain part in the level because you keep dying! I can play this for hours because it takes up very little battery compared to many other games, wasn’t expecting that, I’m playing on the 11pro for reference on 14.4 beta but I’ve playing since 14.2
It’s great that I can use it with a controller, makes it better to play for longer periods. My phone stays cool pretty much the whole time, I can play quick 2 minute games and my phone is really hot but not with Grimvalor, well optimized by the devs.
Can’t wait for more gameplay, I’m on level 20 and just got to the frozen winds levels. The equipment doesn’t take forever to grind for either so nothing seems too out of reach but you do have to work a bit for it. Just a well made and well thought out game.

  • Floaty controls

Obviously taking dark souls-esque design cues, the game however feels floaty and there’s no impact, it’s too quick. The axe felt more enjoyable to use than the sword because of that. I don’t enjoy it and probably wont finish it, but it’s far from the worst game on the store and worth its asking price. The sound design feels lacking like there’s no oomph, the characters look strange, I wouldn’t have minded if I could customise my character a bit more. I like the enemy and boss designs though!

In short: not bad but not great.
