Fan is great

Had a few hiccups since purchasing a few years ago, but, support from Cocoon is awesome, also upgraded to fibre optic so no loss of signal anymore. Now Google Nest is linked, so, finding the new setup really works well. These guys keep, improving their product, worth the money for a comfortable home!

OK when it works, which is rarely.

When actually connected and following program the fan works. But I’ve been plagued by disconnects. Even sent in my fan unit back for a check by the suppot team and they returned it with problems still present. Fan loses programming regularly, and loses app connection regularly. I wanted to like this product but am so disappointed.

Yikes

The smart features just don’t work. I have to manually activate the fans every time I want them on. No set and forget. Ecobee auto mode makes it useless and it’s not pulling room sensor data from ecobee’s api, instead it tries to estimate room temp a different way which is off by 5 degrees. The AI learning is just non-existent. I even question how much the fans really increase airflow. I wanted to love this product so bad, but yikes it was a major waste of $.

Don’t buy this product

App crashes while using. Have reinstall the all multiple times to get the login to work. Take multiple tries to connect the device.

The temperature measurement on the fan is off my at least 4-5 degC.

Worst app ever

Will not configure the fan if you don’t share your location????? Really

Not able to login after the latest update!

It is so disappointing that app update should be improve things, but it is making it even worst!

Please help to fix it so that your customers can use it.

It’s Not Perfect… But They Won’t Give Up!

I’ve had this product for I believe 1-2 years now, though I can’t be exactly sure when I got it. To be frank, it’s had a lot of problems. From pairing issues, to the app breaking, to whatever else you can name, I’ve dealt with it all.

So, why 4 stars then? Well, hear me out. There’s a few reasons. Firstly, when it works… It works. My room, very far from the air conditioner, stays downright frosty in the summer. In fact it’s so good my family often complains I’m stealing all the cold air 😂.

The other reason I’ve chosen to give the app 4 stars, is the commendable efforts from the app developer(s). Don’t get me wrong, there have been more than enough problems with this app to drive me crazy. However, update after update these issues are fixed. Looking at the app now, compared to when I first set it up, it’s remarkable, and I’m grateful that despite the troubles the developer(s) have not left the product, and by extension the customers to rot.

To conclude, is the app or product perfect, or even excellent? Far from it there are still plenty of inconveniences like my fan simply unpairing after a couple of days. But, it’s come a long way, and the interface has become clean and is more than usable. So thanks to the developer(s) for their hard work, and I am optimistic towards the future of this app and by extension the product.

Sending back device to Amazon

App Refuses to connect to device despite following all the instructions and triple checking the lights and fan code. To make matters more frustrating, clicking “OK” after typing in the device code 10 different times does nothing—including providing no feedback as to why it would not accept the correct fan device code.

Not working

This app simply doesn’t work. The instructions are clear and the fan/device is nicely made but the app doesn’t do any - just won’t connect the fan to WiFi.

Just installed with no problem

So it arrived today I got two of them for my family room, installed both of them and immediately was able to connect following the instructions both of them without any problem. I did one in the morning and I did one in the afternoon later. The apps not the most intuitive, but it’s better than bending over to try to make changes on something that’s in the vent. I have a temperature gun so I’ve been testing throughout the day and I feel like it’s giving me a boost of about 3° bonus in the area that I wanted to increase so I don’t have to cool or heat the rest of the main floor as much.

Well, it says it works with different thermostats, and it did find mine without any problem, it doesn’t really show that it integrates with your system. What they do is they give you some instructions to let it learn your system, which is the same that all the other ones do without Wi-Fi. So the connection to the system seems to be a little bit deceptive. However, being able to go in and turn the fans on and off at will set a schedule or even let it work based on temperature to some degree is mostly what I wanted and without having to bend down and pull it out of the vent system to make changes. I know some of them have a little buttons, but I like this cause it’s completely hidden except for the cord and if I wanted to I could literally run it under the carpet so wouldn’t be seen but there in an areas that there is not a lot of traffic, so I don’t care.

Again, if you’re really looking for it integrate with your system, I don’t think it really does that finding your system is saying it’s connected and then saying hast to learn your system. None of that is true. If it was truly integrated with your system, it could go on and off when your system comes on and off and you could set delays like stay the fan on for 30 minutes after your system shuts off, but because it’s not sure integration they can’t do that it rhythm which like I said it’s not really the same as connecting to your system. So I do mark that as being deceptive.

So I usually don’t review these kind of things, but I feel like this is really doing what I needed to in theory. I’ll keep testing this week to see how well it helps strengthening the cooling in this area. But it looks promising.

So at least for me, the app connected, right away, so maybe the software upgrade two months ago did the trick.
