  • Buggy display, layout broke after iOS update

After the iOS 12.1.3 update on my iPhone 10 XS max, the screen layout of this app has gotten out of kilter. It’s no longer possible to see all of the icons in the review/plot mode. From memory I can still use it. A new user, however, would find it very confusing.

Compared to the previous version which was kind of amateurish, this app has a “slicker” look. The plotting features have been improved making it easier to view a week, month or year timescale. Unfortunately, less data is available for plotting, and less data is reported to Apple Health. It used to be possible to plot bone mass, visceral fat and body water. None of those are now accessible in the plotting window. Also lean body mass is no longer reported to Apple Health.

I have had no problems with the basic functionality of setting up this app and pairing it with my scale.

  • Needs date format option

I think this app and scale does just what it says and is supposed to do for that it’s great. I just wish there was an option to format the date. I understand I live in maybe the one country that does month, day, year but it’s how my brain thinks. Just a simple format option would be great and then this would be 5 stars for sure.

  • Blood Pressure reading not recording time correctly.

Blood Pressure reading not recording time correctly. For example, I took one reading at 2:00pm, but the app recorded the time as 1:00am. With my high blood pressure condition, I must keep an accurate history reading (during the day) alone with correct times and dates.
  • Still does’t work.

1/2/19. Like the previous customer, I also followed the directions to upgrade to the latest version.

I attempted downloading it, and had to log into the app store at least 5 times to obtain the download, and attempted pairing it more than 4 times—with NO success.

Even after I selected my 1byone white scale, and ensured Bluetooth was set to “on” on my iPhone 6S+, the app was unable to pair with my scale or the app.

And the original app refuses to list body fat-percentage, or several of the other options.

Perhaps the developer should visit the Europe or The Americas to see whether the problem is due to differences in networks between the countries.

Downloading this app in its present state: plan to waste at least 15 minute, attempting in vain to get it to pair. It won’t happen.

  • Okay app, but I’ll stick with the old one

The UI does seem better, but there is no way to transfer the data from the old app to the new. This seems a major design flaw. I don’t want to lose several months of history. I’ll stay with the old app. It would have been better to have upgraded that app than release an incompatible new one.
  • Usable, just...

    Not the most intuitive UI.

Having to jump in between different tabs for the two different devices (which leads to another question - why is there a tab for an oximeter, yet I can’t find any trace of the physical product, and the “tips” page for the oximeter is empty)

There seems to be quite a lag between taking a reading on the scales/BP monitor and the phone picking it up.

Thankfully, it does seem to be syncing with Apples health app.

I’m curious why the app requires you to sign up for an online account though rather than simply syncing on the phone and with Apple Health app. I realise there’s a cloud backup feature but why can’t it simply use iCloud if online backup is required? This is rather concerning.

  • Crashes - can’t enter target weight

I’ll stick with the 1byonewellness app that I still have paired to my scale that’s working great. This one I paired to my scale and took my first measurement. But it crashes when I try to enter my target weight in settings. Also there’s no way I can find to bring in all my historical data from the previous app. Not worth changing from 1byonewellness to this.

  • Works fine

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Just bought the scale, put batteries in, downloaded the app. Paired it through the app. Weighed myself and saved the data. Pretty straightforward and works fine.
  • Worked, but could be better

I bought the scale a couple months ago, and the app is actually working. I am sure there are a lot that they can improve though. It takes a while for the app and scale to connect and retrieve the date, and sometimes it takes even longer.
  • To Not Pair

I purchased the scales a few years back and the original app worked wonderfully.

Recently I bought a new phone and wanted my weight tracked on it. Well to my surprise there are new apps for the scale. I have tried pairing for the last few days. All I get is... nothing. I even rested the phone on the scale when I stood thinking it needs super close contact. This is a poor app that does not serve a purpose aside from wasted memory on the phone.
