This game is pretty good but....... Read it all!!
The game is great! It is a lot of fun and it is just so much fun to play like on a road trip! I give this game 5 stars! So you are probably wondering why I put 3 stars then, well this is why. There are so many adds!!!!! Come on people why so many!!??? If you are going to put that many adds in a game make the pricing for no adds cheaper because with that money I could go buy 200 sapphires over on animal jam. PLEASE FIX IT SOON OR I WILL PROBABLY DELETE IT!! Pls respond to this review and tell me what you can do about it, if you don’t tell me a solution or you tell me a solution and don’t fix I will change my rating, delete the app, and give you a horrible review so you better fix this now!!! Ok so I actually decided to add something. Anyone who does not want adds listen to this. Just turn your WiFi off and no adds will pop up! Even when you ask it to double it will will double up with no adds!! It’s amazing!! Use this trick before they fix it!! Ok editing it once again soooo apparently this trick does not work I don’t know what happened because I had done it for like and hour so maybe guys if it doesn’t work just turn your WiFi off and turn it back on.Show lessallibelle07
Super Addicting
I’ve been trying to find a game like this for a long time. It seems like every game has levels and quests you have to complete, which I hav absolutely no problem with! It makes the game a whole lot interesting, but this one of those games where if you’re stressed out or just want to relax while listening to music then you can just play this. There is no way to lose and you just sit there and fish. I find it really find to go deeper into the ocean and find the new types of fish I can catch! If you don’t like games without a little challenge or strategy, this game isn’t for you. But, if you’re looking for a game that will keep you entertained as well as keep your stress levels low, then you should definitely download this. I have to say it does have quite a few ads, but that can easily be resolved by putting on airplane mode or turning off cellular data for it! Very disappointed!
This was a fun and addictive game at first. However, I understand that all games have ads, but the amount in this game is absolutely ridiculous!My first day playing this games I spent more time watching ads than I did playing the game. I decided to pay to have the ads removed. Once the ads were removed I enjoyed playing so much more. I was very disappointed by the fact that the first two days playing the first fishing spot I collected all the fish and bonus fish, maxed out on the amount of fish you can catch on the hook and maxed out on the depth you can fish. By the 3rd and 4th day I completed everything in the next fishing spot. After paying $3.99 to remove the ads, I thought that there would be more fishing spots or more fish added to the list to catch. Also, there is a terrible glitch in the game. The game was always locking up and throwing me out and I would loose the fish and money I had just earned. Between the glitches, ads, spending money and the short goal of the game, I am completely disappointed!Show lessAjones2118
These ads are unbearable
I understand that this app is growing extremely fast right now and advertisements at this current point in the games popularity is a smart decision.
Some people can’t afford to spare $5.50 on the removal of ads, but still really want to enjoy this game, I play this quite often but I’m receiving an ad after literally every single at this point... I really want to continue playing this game, but I really don’t want to spend more time watching ads then actually focusing on the objective of the game.
My suggestions would be either a) lower the frequency of ads, so maybe every 3-5 games instead of every game, or b) lower the cost for the removal of ads.Show lessDegraves
Too many ads
Sadly this game, like many others, has way too many ads.
Look - ads are fine. We got the game for free, and you still need to get money somehow - but this is rediculous.
After every try, you get the option to “claim” or “double” your earnings. To double, you need to watch an ad. Fair enough - very fair, in my opinion.
However, if you just claim 90% of the time, you’ll realise pretty much every second try, it’ll show you an ad no matter whether you chose “claim” or “double”.
On top of that, sometimes if you want to upgrade a specific thing, either net size or depth, it’ll hold it behind an ad. So I’ll just chose not to upgrade that round instead.
If. I. Wanted. The. Ad. I. Would. Have. Chosen. Double.
These infectious, annoying ads mean I have to disable the internet completely to get anything done. And then! If you disable internet, and don’t get interrupted, you realise very quickly how shallow and not really fun this game is. It basically relies on the fact that if it shows you adverts and interrupts the game, so it’ll feel slower and you’ll want to get back to the game, so it can show more ads.
Despite my dislike of the game, it is good. Well made, nice graphics, just lacking in any real ‘depth’. Yeah, I’m making puns now. It’s a good game that sadly, like many mobile games, is ruined by the need for constant ads.Show lessSandman_9292
Go fish(ing for ads)
Good concept for a fun little time killer game. You can even double your earnings from every 10 second haul by watching a 30 second ad right after. Don’t want to watch the ad? That’s okay, we’ll make you watch it anyway, but now you don’t get the reward.
If you are determined to play this game, my advice is to click the “double” buttons for the ad. I mean, if they’re going to force you to watch it regardless, you may as well get the extra earnings. Me? I’m deleting it. I’m all for the offer of increased earning or some kind of benefit for watching a couple of ads, but not when it’s forced on me every 10seconds. Great, but kind of scummy business
So, let me start out by saying that the game is fun. Great time waster and easy to get started. It has ads that constantly pop up, but what game doesn’t have those these days?
My issue is after you “buy” the game for $3.99 which is supposed to get rid of ads. It definitely gets rid of the ones that pop up and interrupt gameplay, but you still get ads on the boat screen where you upgrade you net size and stuff. Instead of auto-playing, they just hang out in the top left corner. Also, once you progress far enough in the game, the prices to upgrade net size or to go deeper ramps WAY up, but the developers still give you then chance to watch an ad to upgrade those without spending in-game money. It would basically be impossible to upgrade the depth past 500m without watching ads since it’s costs about $13,000,000 to upgrade past there.
I just wish my $3.99 felt more worth it rather than them taking my money and basically forcing me to watch ads that they make money off of me watching.Show lessdrummerclay94
Addictive, but could be even better...
The ads were so annoying that I actually purchased the ad free version. This is the ONLY have I have ever paid for in my many, many years of having an iPhone. It’s fun and addictive, but I really wish they kept track of high scores. I mentally keep track of my high score so I have a goal to beat, which keeps me playing. I love the graphics and the design is great, but it is very hard to see how much fish are worth while catching them, and unfortunately the “trophy room” does not indicate how much each is worth. In the game you earn money for fish, and you can buy depth and a bigger net with the money. However, the $ is so inflated that it easily becomes impossible to pay for them. The only option is to watch an ad. Even though I paid for no ads?? It'd be nice if the depth and net increased the higher your high score is. So many advertisements!
This game is actually pretty fun; the concept of collecting all the different fish really drove me to get the app. I really like it but there are sooooo many ads. It gets to the point where the game is unplayable due to the amount of them. When you’re fishing they have banner ads at the bottom of the screen and if you accidentally tap on them when you’re fishing, then it’ll take you to a different page and ruin that round. But wait, there’s more! After that botched run due to the banner ad, now you have to watch another video ad after that round! And the same thing will happen virtually every round; the highest number of rounds that I’ve played without getting an ad is 2! In most games, the price to get rid of ads is $0.99 or $1.99 at most, but in this game the price is $3.99! I would never spend money on a game like this, but that’s just unacceptable. Please fix this developers, I know you need the money, but at this point it just seems like you are money hungry pigs who can’t stand to make a decent game at the loss of a bit of ad revenue. Great but room for improvement
I mean I love this game it is very interactive and it is very fun if played off-line because there are way too many adds . this game has definitely improved my vocabulary of fish LOL but some of the improvements could be catching more than 50 fish because that is the max , or buying other things apart from deepness ,offline earnings or how many fish you get like buying different types of hooks or bonuses .
