Especially the weather part. It won’t stay on area I set it for. You have to click to many things to see what you want to see. It takes to long to get my specific information ### 2/5 — Temp covers radar display *2026-04-29, version 50.9.1* The newest update has the temperature over your location when looking at the radar and there is no way to remove it. You have to zoom in to see the precipitation over your area. It’s very annoying and unnecessary to have the temperature there. ### 3/5 — App does not switch to landscape on iPad *2026-04-25, version 50.9.1* I mostly use my iPad Air in landscape mode and the app doesn’t switch to landscape when I open it. I get too many alerts about shootings in areas other than mine and accidents that don’t apply to me because I don’t drive. I primarily use it on my iPad and it has always been good. But the new version will only load in the aspect used on a phone, so it is sideways on my iPad. The weather section went from being the best to worthless, especially the radar with the giant temperature icon over the whole area. The worst part in the app and desktop site is now you can’t even view anything without disabling your ad blocker. It’s because it has so many ads I had to use an ad blocker to even be able to read an article. They are just too greedy for ad revenue, because people are going elsewhere for their news that’s not left leaning. ### 1/5 — Sports *2026-07-19, version 50.16.0* Nice update, but do you not report sports any longer? Where does one go to catch up on local or national sports within your app? ### 1/5 — Bad app! *2026-07-18, version 50.16.0* The 12 hour radar cycles the same weather every two hours. The temperature indicator obscures the radar in the location you want to look at. Did you assign this task to first-graders? Hard pass. On my M4 iPad Pro, it opens to a small screen, won’t expand and then I can’t close it out. Tried swiping it close and also using the red X in the upper left hand corner and it won’t respond. I tried to power off my iPad, but it wouldn’t let me, had to force restart the iPad to get the app to close. ### 1/5 — Commercials *2024-10-07, version 46.4.1* To many commercials trying to watch news and weather not commercials ### 1/5 — Get your news some we’re else *2023-05-10, version 45.1* They are a one side news channel not worth it other sources with more credibility ### 1/5 — Only good for notifications *2021-04-27* This is a terrible app. The best thing that works for it are the notifications it sends to my phone with a one line description of what is goi no on. Actually opening the app and navigating it is a nightmare. Ads are the worst! They have to slowly load into every page. You can try to scroll while they load in but you will just end up clicking one while it is still loading, thus sending you to the ad’s page. I love Channel 13 News. But this app should be trashed and remade from scratch. ### 1/5 — Mostly loud annoying video game ads *2020-06-09* I like this station the best but the app is too annoying to use. I get an alert on something then go to the app to find the story. I click the story and there is a video that starts but without sound. I stupidly click the video to get sound only to be redirected to a 30 sec very loud annoying ad for a game. Once that ends the video plays but it is not the news alert but something older related to that topic. So after a few minutes of frustration I still never got to see information from the alert. ### 1/5 — Stop Pestering me *2020-04-03, version 42.4.12* I was enjoying your site and Google Analytics or whatever you use would tell you that I visited. But no, you insist on pestering me with a review request so I am giving no stars and a unhappy user review. Additionally your idiot system which was obviously designed by your news producers does not know how to identify a user without asking them for an unused nickname....
