  • How the hell am I going to pay??

    Okay so how am I going to pay? I just got the app never had an account and it’s saying I have an account? I’ve NEVR had the app so what account do I have? Now I can’t pay for the after fee that I have! Fix your damn app please
  • Horrible customer service

    If I could give 0 stars I would, customer service is horrible. My account got frozen because I got picked at random for review to make sure I wasn’t fraudulent (which I can appreciate) they ask me for my driver license and a copy of my bank statements I share them both. They tell me after reviewing my names don’t match when they do but not only do my names match it matches on my bank statements too. The only difference is my legal last name is hyphenated I never go by it unless it’s for legal purposes. Since Afterpay does NOT go through the credit union I didn’t see the need to use my full legal name. Now they ask me for a copy of my birth certificate, I said sorry I don’t see why you can’t use what I gave you as there is a huge hacker increase all around ( I don’t know exactly whose messaging on the other line) they proceed to tell me that they are highly confidential but I’m sorry again I’m not comfortable sending it cause let’s be honest what’s next my social security number? If my job and my taxes which go through the IRS can use my name as is without needing me legal hyphenated name why can’t Afterpay use it how it is?! With the same address attached that I’ve been at for ten years!!! SO THEH CLOSED MY ACCOUNT!!! not only did they close it but I can’t remove my cards from my account either WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!!!

  • I kinda don’t like it

    Doesn’t take prepaid cards and cards from different regions that sucks so I can’t use it
  • SCAM!

    Bunch of scammer’s, never received my product and they blamed it on the shipper. After I tried contacting them for deeper investigation’s they stopped responding, would do negative star’s if I can, please ban this app from the app store they are a bunch of low life thieves.
  • Great company terrible customer service

    I started using Afterpay in the second half of 2023. I really did appreciate it and since I was using it so often, my rank did grow exponentially although during the holiday season, I was having a little bit trouble with my baking information I’ve tried to get in contact so I don’t have a late payment but the second, my payment was late they took all the money that I had for the four installment pay. I message customer service three days ahead of time that my card was not working and I wanted to change it recently. I’ve had another issue and I’ve been on delivered for the past six days, I don’t understand how you expect to run a company and then once the customer makes one mistake treat them so terribly I’m still not able to change my card and to be honest after I’m done paying all my debts, I’m gonna delete the app because this is ridiculous and a bad habit so if you’re reading this, I wouldn’t recommend Afterpay unless you 100% need it. Don’t be using it for every day needs only for something that you really need at this point in time to be honest if you really don’t have it, you shouldn’t be spending it point blank, I appreciate it my time with Afterpay but I think it’s time for me to start spending based on what I have and what I have

  • Don’t fall on hard times!

    This app is great I really loved using it while I had it but unfortunately I fell on hard times due to my house catching fire and losing everything. They have a section where you can submits a hardship request so you have time to pay them back. I submitted that form and was set on a payment plan so I didn’t lose my account I even sent in pictures for proof, there wasn’t a specific date that I had to be caught up by so I figured as long as I get the account paid I’d be able to use them again. WRONG even though before my tragedy I was on time with all of my payments and always paid my balances off they didn’t take that into consideration. So what’s the point in reaching out for help? I don’t think this is fair as I have a good payment history I just needed afterpay to work with me while I recoup from losing every owned. The app is great but make sure these people get their money no matter what. P.S paying your balance doesn’t mean they will let you use your account again so keep that in mind, they will take your money no problem but they will lock you out of your account.

  • Extremely disappointed

    I am extremely disappointed in this app & their customer service. I have been using their services for about 4-5 years now & have always paid my payments on time as I had them on auto-draft. I eventually earned my limit up to $2,600. This month my debit card expired & my bank sent me a new one & as soon as they did I logged into Afterpay & updated my card info. As soon as I changed my card information, they changed my limit to $50!!!!! They took $2,450 away from my limit bc my card expired!!!! When I FINALLY was able to get in touch with someone from customer service - they told me it changed due to a $10 payment being ONE day late due to my card being expired. I tried explaining that it was out of my control & I logged my new card in as soon as I received it in the mail. I was then told that there was nothing they could do because everything is controlled by the computers & that the best thing for me to do is to slowing build my limit again by making more payments. It took me YEARS to get to where I was to only be stripped of it in the matter of seconds due to something completely out of my control. 10/10 don’t recommend their services. Also, they don’t have a customer service phone number for a reason & that reason is because they can’t help you with ANYTHING. Very, very disappointed after all these years of loyalty to them.
    Would give ZERO ⭐️ if I could.

  • Bot operated almost

    My phone was broken and the only way I could log in was through my phone number. I managed to remember my password thankfully but they had already emailed me to pay several times. With no help to login at all. I ended up paying off my fees, they don’t tell you once you’ve completed ur fees that ur account will be closed just because you didn’t pay it back for a while. It’s understandable i do get it it but it’s more of the fact that u just receive a red alert after trying to purchase telling you you’ve been blocked and to pay off all your fees. I messaged support and I wasn’t surprised with the customer service. “ we can confirm your account was repaid and closed” not correct I stated with reaching them out that I just wanted to know what was going on and they declined their services for future use; “unresponsible spending” is far from the truth due to no access and the ways they make it impossible for you to sign in. I hope they become more realistic. I just wanted to close my account which it won’t even let you after you pay it off or already told them to. I recommend klarna because I had the same issue with them and they did help me and understand me. They also take away your rewards aren’t allowed to gift it to anyone at-least.

  • Awful, no support

    bought something at the end of July. Made two manual payments on August 11, which registered instantly and showed the next payment not due until September 9, Imagine my surprise when my card was pre-authorized (and the funds were withdrawn as it is a Visa Devit) for another payment August 16, even when there is none due.

    Afterpay has no phone support and no live chat, just an in app message system, so after ten rounds and four tiring days I finally get a message from “Adam” denying they made the preauthorization at all and basically washing their hands of me,

    My. bank is happy to provide a letter confirming they DID charge my Visa for the same amount as the first three payments so it is highly sus and a lot of trouble. I will pay it out and never use again. It’s fine until something goes wrong then you will regret ever touching this with a ten foot pole. Honestly, look into alternative apps and save yourself a lot of hassle!
