I wrote a bad review because of a glitch that was immediately corrected by the company. This is a great app. I am rewriting this review because Apple does not seem to have a way for me to edit or remove the previous review.

    Developer Response

Very sorry for the glitch! We fixed this with today's update so you won't be charged again. Would you please update the Healium app and contact us if you have further issues? hello@story-up.com. Very sorry for the hassle. Here's how to update Healium to restore your previous purchase. 1. Delete the Healium app icon from your screen by pressing and holding it. Then click the "X" to delete its data. 2. Search for Healium AR in the app store and redownload it. 3. When the Healium app opens, you will see a button that says "press to restore". After you press "restore", wait a few seconds for the app to remember your previous payment. Our latest update mistakenly didn't grandfather in our current users. It was never our intention to make you pay twice. Our sincere apologies. Please email us at hello@story-up.com should you continue to have a payment or any other issue. Many thanks for your patience!
  • Rebuy again?

I already own the app, why do I have to purchase the Apple Watch support again?
  • What a waste.

If you don't pay 4.99 the app is pretty much useless. This app is a total rippofff. DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP SND BOYCOTT THE APP FOREVER AND DON'T PAY THE 4.99
  • Healing Light

Creative reminder of our healing power. I ‘saw’ my mind get quiet. I am no monk. Set it to easy at first. My grandkids luv this
  • Digital Therapeutics

  • Janky, kind of Gimmicky

I’m a veteran and saw this app in the Stories section today. Decided to try it out, and am coming away very underwhelmed.

The Butterfly meditation is easily the worse of the two currently available. The leaves on the bush (tree? green twig?) pop in and out jarringly during the experience, and some only seem to exist when viewed from certain angles. Then, after hatching one butterfly (and several others that don’t hatch but just appear from nothing) the narrator’s voice starting pausing the spa music every few seconds like a train conductor, repeating the same phrase over and over again. That, and the fact that it’s never quite clear what you’re doing, are very frustrating.

The other meditation, about the Solar System, is similarly vague about how it works. Are you “lighting up the universe” or is that light level the exact same at the end as it was at the beginning? Are you making butterflies grow or are they spontaneously appearing on a timer? My understanding from the Apple Story about this was that your biofeedback would produce an immediately visible reaction in the AR world. It’s what sold me on the app. Unfortunately, that great pitch is not well realized here.

Hopefully the devs get an influx of cash and use it to flesh this app out. Right now it feels cheap, like it’s held together with spit and bubblegum.

Edit: There was a "family sharing bug" where some users couldn't access our full app. Were you able to try our update? Thanks for the feedback and for your service. You can adjust difficulty settings so the experience doesn't stop and start so much by clicking the settings wheel. Your heart rate or brain patterns are like a gas pedal, stopping and starting the experience. It may feel awkward at first. This might help: https://www.tryhealium.com/faq Here's a video: https://youtu.be/c4zfgPEfNfI . We're working on alternatives to stop/start and would love to get your suggestions. Please email us at hello@tryhealium.com. If you lower your heart rate and the waveform goes above the threshold line, the planets light up. But If your heart rate goes up and your'e not meeting your threshold, the planets darken. It's similar with the Brainlink Lite headband. If your feelings of "quiet mind" for instance are meeting the mark and are above the threshold and calm, butterflies hatch out of the chrysalis. Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. If you email us at hello@tryhealium.com we'd also like to learn which iphone and which wearable you're using so we can troubleshoot. We appreciate the time you took to explain to us how we can make the experience better. Thank you for your service. You might also check out the free versions of our apps with a program called Honor Everywhere which provides virtual tours to aging Veterans unable to physically travel to see their memorials. Search "Honor Everywhere" in the app store.
  • See feelings

Use this with my students so they can more easily regulate their emotions. More experiences please. How do I get the green light to go off on my Apple Watch?

    Developer Response

Glad your students are using Healium! The green light on your apple watch will go off if you close both the watch app and the phone app. Side swipe the screen on your apple watch to reveal the watch "stop" button. There's a complete FAQ about our AR and VR apps here: https://www.tryhealium.com/faq
  • Exactly what I needed

I am not a traditional meditator. I find my mind wanders even more as soon as my eyes close. This app was built for me 😍

    Developer Response

Thank you for sharing. Be sure to update your Healium app as we have a new user interface now that's easier to use.
  • Turn on your heart light

I lowered my heart rate and the sun lit up. At first I didn’t see the planets then realized my phone was sitting on a table with my camera covered when I started the app so it couldn’t lock on. Pro tip: hold the phone vertical. When can I do this with a fit bit???

    Developer Response

Barry Manilow! I remember those lyrics. :) We'll be adding more wearables to the platform but for right now, Healium only works with Apple Watch and a Muse headband. Your request for fitbit integration has been passed on to our team!
  • Calming 🦋💜

Healium is an easy, enjoyable way to take a few minutes for yourself every day. As a nature lover who doesn’t always have the time to get outside between work and college courses, the experiences allow me to bring a little bit of nature into my home. It’s calming and fascinating — it’s amazing to see your own thoughts having a real effect!
