  • Amazing! Thank you for this beautiful work

I’m not a Catholic, although I’m studying early Christian Art History at a University and have been learning a lot about Catholic doctrine and practice. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I honestly believe we have more in common with Catholicism than anything which might separate us, and I think all Christians can benefit from this app. I’ve sampled some of the best mental health / meditation apps on the market, and the quality of Hallow competes with the best in terms of functionality and services. But the spiritual quality is what makes this above and beyond the rest. Our world needs this!!! Incorporating secular and spiritual practices of prayer and meditation, mental health and spiritual health… I think it’s wonderful and it’s already making a difference in my life

  • Love it, but needs some tweaks

I really enjoy using this app. I am finally praying daily pretty consistently which has been one of my goals for more years than I would care to admit. I very happy that they recently added a lot of prayers in Latin as I find them more meditative. The only thing with which I’m not entirely happy is that one cannot add some entire groups of prayers to one’s routine e.g. the Latin rosary. One can add each individual rosary but then you can’t choose which day you’d like to be notified as the routines have no option for setting the days you’d like to do certain prayers. If these two parts of the app were updated they would vastly improve its overall usefulness, as it would make the routines endlessly customizable and then all I’d have to do to get going is to click on the notification and, BAM! I’m prayin’!

  • Amazing way to begin a day or wind down at night

I read as many reviews as I could to get a full picture of what this app was all about and if it was what I had been looking for. The comments about the voices had me hung up, but in lieu of another option I decided to give it a try and I have loved it. Right now I cannot even tell you how much the subscription was. That tells me how worth it the cost was. I understand what some people are saying about the voices, I have the same feeling about a few lectors at mass, their cadence causes me to lose focus rather than keep it, but unlike mass, this app allows me to speed up the voice to 1.25 or 1.5 and that makes all the difference. The speakers are great, and the voices of those I speed up are so strong that they don’t get whiny at higher speeds.

  • Great App… but

This app is great. It helps with daily prayer and devotions and has really helped me pray the rosary daily for a few months now. It is definitely an wonderful prayer tool.

The layout of the app is beautiful and sleek, but I have some suggestions because I feel the navigation could be better.

    A. It would be great if the top area when you first log in could have you swipe right and left. It would be great if you could pick up where you left off. Example: I log in for the first time and the top is automatically the next day of the novena, but I don’t want to do that right now. I want to listen to the next recording from BIAY. I have to scroll all the way down and find that, then scroll all the way over and find the episode I’m on. It would be nice if I could just swipe right on the Novena recommendation and it would show me where I left off.

    B. A search tool at the top to take you to exactly where you need to go. Do yo want to do a full 15 decade rosary? Look up 15 decade rosary. Do you want to go to Bible in a year? Daily devotions?

    C. I also haven’t actually found a 15 decade rosary on the app (if there is one, the navigation has prevented me from finding it). It would be great if you could add that in.

  • Highly recommended!

I love this app and have been using it now for years and think it’s worth every $ it charges and more. I rarely review apps but think this app is fantastic and so deserving of a good review..

The app fulfills all my requirements for meditation, prayer petitions, or even just listening and reflecting on your day/bible stories/scripture. It has a wide variety of great content so you never get bored and more importantly, so you can always the right content to suit your present situation in life. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone/everyone!! It has gotten me to pray more regularly where nothing else has.

my 2 cents for developers: it would be great to one day see this as an Alexa enabled skill so users could build a routine around it in the era of the “smart home”. Also would be good to be able to reset challenges so we can re-do them at our own time.

  • Mark 11: 15-17

And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.” TL;DR : this app will charge you $100+ a year to pray... this is a perfect example of exploiting Catholics for “access” to praying. I was raised as a strict catholic and this app is a scam. If they truly cared about giving prayer/meditation access to as many catholic as as possible they wouldn’t charge for any of it. This app shows, quite explicitly, the worst sides of money grubbing developers looking to make money on giving other Catholics access to their faith. As a business person, good for you for making a buck. As a catholic, you should be ashamed of yourself. This app shows which side the developers prefer to stay on.

  • Hallow is The Best App Ever; Especially, for Catholicism.

I absolutely love this app. It is so incredibly on point to keep yourself intact with God-The Holy Trinity!! It keeps me grounded, has a much stronger connection within my strict Roman Catholic Faith, and with given all the extra perks of morals and virtues that you can within this application, HALLOW.

I am so blessed beyond measure to be born into a family with the strict, solid morals, devotion to Mary, Our Blessed Mother, the rosary, scriptures at home, and to learn to use, trust, and use your inner faith to do great things here on earth. My Daddy would say The Rosary,!Trust and Loyalty in your Roman Catholic Faith, your heart and deep innermost thoughts and being faithful and al to The Scriptures, The Holy Trinity, Mary, and The teachings, following scriptures. By showing your utmost loyalty and the rule of law, Catholicism is The Truest Way To Get To Heaven!!

I attached K-12 grade at a private Catholic School. I am so unbelievably fortunate. I can’t think of my parent enough. My Daddy has passed, and My Momma just passed just this year on February 25, 2021. HALLOW also helps me remember my childhood and teenage years of dedication, devotion, and loyalty to Catholicism.

Thank you so much for creating this Extraordinary App for all Christians. Still, most of all, it’s designed especially for Roman Catholics and all rules, values, virtues, and BELIEFS of Catholicism.

  • Exactly what I was looking for

My prayers were answered when I found this app. I wanted an app similar to Calm, but better in the sense that I could meditate and pray to God with it. This is that app. It’s a wonderful app, it’s got all kinds of prayers and stories for those who wish to meditate, it’s got daily rosaries, it’s got novenas, devotions, you name it, but it also has sleep stories and music. Like I said, it’s everything I ever wanted from Calm but won’t get from Calm because it’s a secular app. It’s pretty easy to use as well, and the price ain’t bad. Whoever developed this, they did a great job and deserve the $55 a year they’re asking. The rosary in all the different languages is phenomenal and is particularly my favorite. I don’t remember how I found it, but it’s magical. Hebrew, Latin, Spanish, English, French, all in one. So beautiful! The only thing I wish they’d improve: while playing music or regular stories on this app, I’d like to be able to keep browsing through the app. It’d be nice to get some more contemporary music too, not that I mind the classical selection, but it’s a mood, and sometimes I feel like listening to something more modern. And lastly, if they could come up with sleep music, that would be fantastic!

  • Amazing Community!

I have subscribed to the “Magnificat” magazine for AM & PM prayer meditations for a few years. I was uncertain as to what added value the Hallow app subscription would be to my routine. The free trial convinced me to support this outstanding tool. The guided meditations are an alternative, Catholic-centered approach with an “eastern” feel, so familiar to any who have dabbled with Yoga “practices”. It’s a bridge between East & West that feels like a comfortable shoe (or mattress)! I particularly appreciate being able to choose from a variety of venues as I wind down to sleep. Sometimes, its a scripture reading. Sometimes the life of a saint. Or a review of conscience. The Hallow app helps me feel, in a concrete way, part of the larger community of faithful beyond the boundaries of my local parish! I am truly more aware of the “cloud of witnesses” that surround me…living and deceased…and that gives me hope. TY4 developing Hallow.

  • Plenty of FREE and paid options

For those who complained that the app isn't free, there are tons of FREE options on here! And if you are upset because "prayer shouldn't cost money," have you ever stepped into a shop that sells Catholic goods? Candles, rosaries, prayer cards, books? Are those things free? No, someone spent time designing and creating them. You aren't forced to buy them. You can pray the rosary with your God-given ten fingers, after all. You can pray without ever picking up a prayer book. But if you CHOOSE to buy those resources because you enjoy them and they enrich your prayer life, ythat's your choice. This app is AMAZING and life-changing and it keeps getting better. For me, it's worth the subscription cost. I know some people cannot afford the cost and I understand that can be frustrating. But use the free resources. And don't knock the app because it costs money. The time and development that goes into an app like this costs money. It doesn't make it bad.
