  • Crashes

    At some point in Q4 2021 the app stopped working on my iPhone, it crashes as soon as I log in.

  • When is this App going to get fixed?

    It’s terrible, please get it fixed or I’m switching from Defender to something else.

    I can’t even get the cameras to connect. I’m giving up on defender. One star because I can’t give 0.
  • Won’t stay logged in

    App constantly logs you out! And It’s 2020, I don’t need to be reminded I’m using 3g/4g!

    So far works fine. I am not seeing the problems that others see. The only thing I can see it that is has not been updated in ages.

    Update:

    After having the camera and the app installed for while, the one concern I have is updates there hasn’t been one in forever. Also the sensitivity on the camera is insane even in the lowest setting it notifies us about everything that moves let it be rain or flashing lights. But seriously this app needs an update desperately, along with better sensitivity controls.

  • To say the least- it’s very unfriendly and non professional

    Anyone who has owned a defender camera knows how difficult it is to get it going for the first time. But things don’t stop there, the app is inconsistent in its behaviour, very poor instructions and when you want to retrieve video of captured motion - God help you; no fast forwarding, no sign on the time line mentioning a recoded motion and the most annoying thing is that when you forward the time line even by few seconds it starts reloading the whole thing again. To clerify my point, you basically need to watch the whole 10/15 minutes clip patiently to see the motion that your camera recorded, what a clumsy app! And usually you will see the motion in the last second of the clip, just a glimpse of it. Very unserious business.

  • Poor interface and instructions

    I’m had my system for about a year and I’m not really happy. I get regular errors with the cameras going offline, amongst other things. I find the interface to be clumsy and the instructions are shockingly bad. When you want to view multiple cameras, every time you log in you have to add them again - they don’t just stay in one of the viewports. Most recently there is a problem with the notifications. I clicked to receive notifications from one of the cameras, but every time I switch screens, it shuts it off. I don’t particularly want to try uninstalling and reinstalling as the setup takes a while.

  • Terrible app

    This app logs you out every time it closes. Says “invalid login. Please log in again.” The alerts work ok but you cant scrub through minutes of captured video to look for the movement it alerts on. Not easy to move around within the app but it does provide basic functions. Developers need to do much better because the camera hardware works well.
