Wasting TIME unlock to take a photo

I feel it’s pretty wasting my time to take a photo of it to make sure where it locked and located. The problem is that when I lock it, the apps gets slower than unlock it and add do ride time. I think it’s unfair. I have been experiencing frozen screens on my phone many times especially when I try to unlock it. And takes another time to take a photo. The point of using this service is to cut down my time but it isn’t. Please make this apps more smoothly without having a frozen screen which makes me turn off the apps.

Hi Saedis. Sorry you felt like you had a poor experience. Never our intention. To explain a little, the photo is important because it helps the next user find the scooter, and to help encourage good parking. That in turn should make it easier for people to use Beams, and make local citizens more welcoming to Beam because we keep our scooters neat and tidy. Which in turn, should mean more Beam available for our riders. So we're sorry it's an extra step but it's there for a good reason at least and we hope you understand. On the screen freezing, it may be worth deleting and downloading the app again to clear the glitch. Please let us know if that doesn't solve the problem and we'll do our very best to assist. Suuuper slow

Too slow to use

This app for iphone is not working

The app for iPhone version is not working it got stuck. I tried to contact the developer from app store. The page linked says 404 error.

Overcharging quite often

Cost works out far more expensive than taxis - also, you get charged by time rather than just distance whereas, grab cars are fixed fair. Also make sure you properly sign - off, had an instance where it didn’t and someone else ended up using the scooter for 40 mins on my account.

Oh dear. We're sorry to hear you've had a mixed experience of Beam in KL. We do indeed charge by time rather than to a fixed destination, but that's to give you the freedom to go anywhere you want (unlike Grab, where you have to pick a final destination and keep to it). And of course it's important to follow the prompts in the app when ending your ride, but please do contact us if you ever have concerns someone has used your account and we can investigate and try and get it resolved for you. Amazing better than the rest

Love it the cost of an hour and 15 mins was only $34 one downside is it’s difficult to get out of the slow zone but other than that perfect

Great ride

Easy to set up on the phone, good speed, sensible speed limiters I the contested areas of Auckland City and easy to end the ride. My first ride was free. It was a little slow up a ramp onto the motorway pedestrian over bridge but a few kicks kept it moving. Light enough to carry down the steps at the other end and continue the ride.

Disappointing

Tried my first beam today. Riding uphill I had to push the scooter along even with the accelerator fully on. Then when I parked it, the app loaded over and over for about 10 minutes while I tried to end my ride. Eventually I called customer service, but all the person on the phone could do was ask me to spell my name and tell me they would call back to help. Meanwhile I’m standing by a stationary scooter, paying for it to stand there. It has been 4 hours now and no call back. Thankfully about 15-20 minutes after I arrived at my destination, the fifth time I force closed and reopened the app, it allowed me to end the ride. Will not be using again. Use any other escooter before beam.

We have a new fleet of scooters - the Saturn - on the streets that have more torque for handling those tricky hills, and the latest iteration of our app is super fast. Life saver

Love this scooter in Korea ! The only one I know that excepts us phones

Zroom zroom, so much fun

It’s quite safe and powerful! And fun! Recommended!
