Screen elements optimized for Apple Watch Series 4.

1.3

October 24, 2018

You can now adjust the volume before you play a note. This comes in handy if you first open TinyPitch in a choir rehearsal or performance, and want to make sure the note isn't too loud. Adjusted minimum volume slightly upward to 0.5 percent; the earlier lower limit (0.25%) was almost too inaudible to be useful. Enjoy, and keep on sending in your feature requests! :-)

1.2.1

October 15, 2018

* By popular request, the note you pressed now lights up! Always be sure you're playing the right pitch. * Low volume is now limited at 0.25 percent, making it completely inaudible in a quiet room unless held up to your ear. * Minor bug fixes.

More

1.1.1

October 7, 2018

* Adds a visual volume bar so you can see what the volume is before you play a note * Limits low volume to 10% of speaker volume, so that you don't accidentally mute the pitch pipe * New screenshots for App Store

Description of TinyPitch

"Tiny Pitch is by far the best pitch pipe app for the Apple watch." -Pixiepepper56, 5-star review "It is simple enough for elementary students to use yet crafted with attention to the most subtle details useful to pros." --SternVocalStudio, 5-star review "The only pitch pipe I’ll ever need." -JacobMusic100, 5-star review -- TinyPitch is a pitch pipe app that lets you play notes directly on your Apple Watch. You can adjust the volume loud enough so the whole choir can hear, or quiet enough that only you can hear it when you hold the watch up to your ear. TinyPitch lets you play all the notes of the 12-tone chromatic scale. To play a note, tap it to start, and then tap again to stop -- or just let it finish on its own after a few seconds. To switch between instruments (piano, clarinet, and tone), just force touch the Apple Watch screen. To adjust the volume -- while playing, or even in between notes -- spin the Digital Crown. To jump up one octave, swipe right; to jump down, swipe left. Enjoy!

Reviews of TinyPitch

By far the best pitch pipe for the Apple Watch

There are tons of pitch pipes available for the iPhone, but precious few for the watch. And almost all of them are horrible, with poor interfaces, difficulty controlling the volume, and general unreliability.

TinyPitch solves all of those problems. It is extremely intuitive to use, and it has fun and helpful features like being able to change the instrument and also change the octave with a swipe! Highly recommended!!

Great app

Awesome app. Any chance incorporating a tuner into it and more instruments?

What is your email address? I do not have Twitter or Facebook and would like to ask you a couple of questions. Thanks.

Response from developer

Thanks!! More instruments are on the list for version 2. I’ll look into a tuner!

Fantastic!

Where has this app been all my life? Exactly what I’ve wanted. Simple to use, convenient. Love the ability to shift octaves. My only objection is that I have to turn the volume down almost to zero, or else it hurts my ears. I’d like to turn it down a little further but that seems to be the limit.

Response from developer

Thank you for your review! The minimum volume is actually programmed to be extremely low, to the point it is only audible if you hold it up to your ear. If it sounds louder on your watch, your ports might be obstructed. (When the microphone part gets dust in it, for some reason that affects the minimum volume of the watch.) Try blowing it out with compressed air, or taking it to an Apple store. I promise the volume will get lower!
