Stable, functional, GUI could improve

I use this on iOS 17.1.2 and MacOS 14.1.1 Sonoma M1 Max processor. Very stable and functional. I control Quantum panel and Quantum storgage heaters. Shows energy input over time very accurately. My only beef is the GUI is a little slow and it's not clear which is the target temperature and the actual temperature.. ie no labels. Also the devives claim to have accuracy of =/- 0.3 degrees, but temp setting and reading is only in whole numbers. Like the fact you cann add several devices to a zone and see the zone effect rather than the indiviual heaters. Suggest Dimplex take a look at the HIVE interface which is award winning and I would say better than the Dimplex one, as as a first release it is pretty good.

Horrible excuse for an app

Whoever wrote this app needs a course on how to design a decent UI. Schedules are complicated to set up and alter.
Everything is just as bad as can be.
I hope they get a decent designer to take this over and make it usable.

Capable App

This is a very capable app and much easier to use than having to program the control panel on the heaters themselves. The remote access of being able to change schedules outside of the home is also very useful. However I do wish the ability to change schedules wasn’t quite so buried: select the room > select the heater > select the profile > change the schedule.

In addition, I really, really hope Dimplex adopts the Matter standard or opens to some third party options as it would be so much better and easier if these programs could work as part of an automation with other smart devices, really beginning to shave off energy usage by detecting presence and schedules. This desperately needs to be integrated with platforms such as HomeKit or Home Assistant. Please make it happen Dimplex.

Disappointed

When you click on energy usage on an individual heater it repeatedly comes back with no data. Useless for monitoring energy consumption.

Completely Useless

Just set up for our holiday rental. Obviously our heaters are locked so guests can’t fiddle with settings and just found out this means we can’t use remote access as you can’t unlock with the app. Will now hopefully be able to return our hub for a full refund as it is now totally useless to us.

Useless Company, scraps product after purchase

This company gets you to spend thousands on their products and then scraps the app to control them. Hopefully management will fail with this moronic strategy…

Response from developer

Hi Gilnockie - thanks for getting in touch. The Dimplex Control app is not be retired any time soon. Since you are a Canadian user, I think you might have left a review on the wrong app - the Dimplex Control app is for UK and EU users.

Wifi control in Canada

I’m being told that the service of controlling my heaters over Wifi using the Dimplex Control app is no longer available. Why is the app still available for download and still being updated?

Can’t remote lock and unlock

I bought this specifically so I could lock the lock radiators and control it remotely. I can’t do this when the radiator is locked locally you can’t control it at all via the app… seems really pointless…
Please can you update the app to allow this feature! Otherwise sadly I need to send the whole lot back and try find something else.

Requiers e waste

Controlling devices with a BT module, or RF module for some reason requires purchase of yet another hub, signing away privacy to use this company’s cloud service & for whatever reason does not work without an internet connection. Shouldn’t be allowed to market this as smart heating without a local control API. Why not use an open standard like zwave instead of reinventing the wheel?

Much improved

As of today 18 Jan 2022 the yesterday update seems to have resolved a lot of the issues. Power use issue seems resolved.
