Unable to save, inaccurate view count

Since the upgrade, besides UI looking more fancy. However, it was very hard for educators to update posts - on behalf of our 55 educators, I am pleading for the developers to solve the following problems: 1. It doesn’t allow enough time for editing after appx 1 min if not less (as an educator, we need to write proper contents including analysis, choose different outcomes in ‘Feamework’, choose photos/ videos to be uploaded and more) by the time it’s completed, when we click ‘save’, the system just freezes. 2. The ‘Framework’ section has too many drop down lists which wasn’t user friendly and wasn’t efficient for the end user, we have to expand the sections one by one and by the time we managed to choose the appropriate content, time lapse again! 3. The ‘View’ count wasn’t consistent in different level of interface: on the page when we can see ‘All Posts’ it shows 4, but when we click into the actual post it shows 5.

THE WORST APP EVER!!

Who on earth actually controls this app? It has so many issues, bugs, glitches.
From my posts saving on someone else’s account, posts not saving, its slow!!!
This new update you lot have just done on your website has made it worse, none of my posts are saving. There has also been issues with food, sleeps and nappy changes being logged but the parents still didnt see them.

My opinion, childcare centres should consider using something that will actually work!!
This app is so time consuming and I have often found myself spending more time on an Ipad then engaging with the children.

Fix your app.

Glitchy, unpleasant to use

The app constantly logs you out and tells you your password is wrong. You cannot save drafts and when you try to do an observation for a previous day you have to search individually for each child to tag because it will only show the children signed in on the day you are using the app. Notifications never come through properly and you miss out on important communication from families. This app needs some serious work, I could continue to list all of the things that make life harder about this app.

Easy to use

It makes everything easy to see and check such as rest time check and nappy change.
There’s one thing I’d like to mention though, which is about recording meal time. That’s great that we can record multiple children at the same time for progressive morning tea / afternoon tea. However it’s just hard to see who’s already eaten / recorded when I choose multiple children at progressive meal time for different amount. I hope it’s something can be changed. Thank you.

Outdated

This outdated system does not make life easy.
A company who is meant to support customer users but who say they are to busy sending quick video shorts that do not help.
It is like buying a burger from McDonald's...messy in the box and nothing like the way it was presented on the menu board.
If I was to paint a picture this was made by individuals who are behind the times and not by those in industry. A complete disconnect with app users and even bigger disconnect with communication between desktop browser and app. Blah

Ridiculous

Cannot log in despite credentials being correct, can log in through safari and on laptop. App says credentials wrong, reset password, surprise surprise, no reset password link. Try to report fault with app, ‘oops that page no longer exists’. I cannot do my job properly because these developers cannot create a functional app

Terrible app, not OSHC friendly

We changed from Qikkids last year.
The bad: when you have many kids at the same time arriving you have to sign them in one by one, you can’t choose multiple children at the same time. This makes supervision very hard because the one person signing the kids spends more time looking at the app.
Sometimes (pretty often) the app keeps buffering and we can’t sign in or sign out or do roll calls.
We have children from 4 different schools, they’re all in different “rooms” in the app, we need to enter the password every time se go to sign in/out a child from different schools. For example if we take two children from different schools to an extra curricular activity the educator needs to type the password twice. Again more time looking at the device, less supervision.
For observations is pretty good.
I’m sure it works better in a long daycare, def not made for OSHC. Any OSHC group I’m in they’re not happy with it. I hope the developers can do something about it.

Response from developer

Hi Marimar808, we released Bulk Attendances in response to OSHC feedback exactly like yours. Have you tried that feature out? By the way, we do workshops regularly with our OSHC customers because we know there are some things that need improving for OSHC services. If you'd like to be part of those, as well as testing out new upcoming features like Transport Lists and Medication Authorisations, get in touch with our product team at appfeedback@myxplor.com

Getting better

The updates are improving and they have introduced many new features that are useful to our setting.

Underwhelming, unnecessary service

Our nursery introduced this app service a couple of years ago. Was never really a hit with parents as it was a cumbersome service. The latest transition from Xplor to Playground app doesn’t work for us, lots of data lost when the new app was rolled out (unless we fill out a form to have our historical data sent to us... why wasn’t the historical data migrated across?). Now My wife can’t even access the app and I can’t access my second childs info even though my wife can. Common feeling that this app is a hot mess than doesn’t gain much praise amongst both nursery staff or parents.

Frustrating

Working at After School Care this app is not suitable yet. We have 60 children that arrive at the same time when the bell rings. To sign each child in it now takes 30min instead of 5min. It’s very time consuming to sign the children in which is not productive to finding out if children are missing at a reasonable time. I found the Xplor app that was the previous version was much more efficient. This app looks nicer, has allergy information but takes away supervision time of the children. It’s a massive glitch. Also multiple staff can’t seem to sign in anymore, there is no easily accessible button to reset your login either. Also, due to COVID the app won’t allow us to sign the children in until 3pm, but all of our kids are being sent early to us at 2:45pm due to lines being made to meet parents at the gates (they aren’t allowed into the school). This makes it very hard to find if we are missing children till 3pm and until we can take the time to tick them all off. Why not revert back to how Xplore when all you had to do was hold it down not jump through 2 more steps to sign a child in??? When you have to do this with 60 children or more it’s very tedious!
I gave it 2 stars for presentation to be kind but right now because of these un-user friendly things that make my job harder, it deserves a 1. It makes me miss a paper roll which took 2 seconds & parents were willing to sign the children out there & then.
