  • Good

Not a bad app, good for beginners! Although you really have to play a certain way for the app to correctly read the notes.
  • Not the best

The app was free, so I was hoping to get free lessons and actually learn guitar. When I saw the premium had to be paid for, I thought "ok, I just won't do premium". I saw that the first lesson was free. When I finished the lesson, I was ready to move to the next, just to find out that ALL of the next lessons had to have premium. I was very unhappy about that. I didn't realize the premium membership got you the lessons. That's basically the same as paying for the app itself.

  • Kinda buggy, but not a total scam

If you can forgive it recognizing nearly every note as late even with wired headphones being used, as well as some of the lessons just not loading, this app is pretty good for beginners, so I kinda want my money back
  • Does not load, paid for yearly

When I purchased the yearly subscription, the app started to slow down.... takes 10-15 minutes to load. Stuck at a blue screen with white bubbles every time I open it or try to select different genre of music.
  • Crashes, doesn’t register notes without incredible lag

Tuned my guitar with the app (on iPad) just fine, but as I was playing the notes, no matter whether I plucked as soon as the note came on the screen or when it touched the line, it registered as “Late”. On the lesson on fretting, the app would freeze as soon as the first note was played.

I skipped to a song and it registered the notes fine - I finally got to see “Perfect”, so I guess just the very fundamental tabs are ‘broken’, which is going to be discouraging for a beginner!

  • Revised Review 3

This program like me has some issues but it is reasonably priced and fun. Expect a bit of frustration with sound recognition depending on the type of guitar you’re using etc. I use an Irig2 and haven’t had any problems lately with tone recognition. There have been some songs that won’t load 1. Libertines, 1. Paramour.. and a couple of songs that no matter how well you do it tells you that you missed all the notes while showing you got all the notes? 1. Bruce Springsteen, 1. Alan Parsons Project-Eye in the Sky, 1.Guano-Open your Eyes. Other than those thing’s it’s fun and great for quick practice or learning with the modules at the top. Looking forward to new songs and grateful for all the hard work. Thanks guys

  • Moves a little too quickly for beginners...

Definitely think that the experience could do better to catering to absolute beginners. Not enough emphasis on learning and testing chord shapes before diving right into anchoring/chord tests.
  • So much help

Thank you MelodiQ, I’ve always wanted to be able to play the guitar and now hopefully I will be able too! 😁
  • I’m in awe

I got my guitar two years ago and didn’t know what to do with it. I’d always wanted to play an instrument, but didn’t know how. My brother found this app and showed it to me, the next day I got our my guitar and finally learned what to do!! This is amazing!!
  • It’s really useful

I just the beginner mode so far, and I was amazing experience so far and I was totally free. I didn’t buy the premium version until I be very sure this app will help me and IT WORKED!!!
