Deliveroo use to pay well (at least £4 for an order) now they are the worst. Apart of this, the app constantly asking to update “if you want to keep using the app you need to update” (some message like that”. So I believe in. Order to make them respect us again, we should block key restaurants in busy days and make the difference happen. Or just take court actions against them. Otherwise will go worst…

Tips
Working in central London and delivering to people in houses that cost millions with order prices averaging 100£ but no one is giving tips. Not even 1£. Whereas the fees per order are around £3. You go to offices and wait for consumers to come down for 10 minutes. Waiting in the restaurant for another 10 minutes for the order to get ready and delivery time is another 10 minutes. In the best-case scenario, you make 2-3 orders per hour which is way below the minimum wage. Many people are doing this job, however. And this is because most of them are undocumented workers who are present in the UK with no right to work. Renting the accounts for a fee from the documented people! This is a big mess that the not seen before and the authorities are reluctant to do anything. Not only these people are outside on the streets but they also break the traffic rules to make a living. There are no red lights in London streets anymore. It's all green for them.

Almost zero hep with my issue
My bank details needed to be updated as i did no receive payment. I gave details for my coop and for some reason the id software which connects to my bank doesn’t work with it. I tried it 5+ time. I message again to say I want to try a different bank account and when sent a link, I am told to continue the process with the details I already gave. So I try again. It fails, I send a message again, I get sent a link. No actual help and going around in this perpetual loop of hell and still not receiving payment for a month. I still try hard to receive the money they owe me while I fail to pay some of my bills as i have lost time working for no pay. Very unhappy and still I need help so I am here trying everything I can to get my pay. There is no phone number for riders with this issue. Please please please help me. My time is being used and I’m getting stressed. I want to continue working. I now have late payment charges to pay. So unhappy with this right now.

Super fun and easy
I started so I could get a bit of extra cash on the side. I love it. Super fun and I’m quite quick on the bike so highest I’ve made so far was about £15 in one hour. It’s basically getting paid to exercise in my mind. Also once an order is complete it’s out of your hands so if the restaurant messed up you won’t even know. Another thing is you choose to get paid and pretty much straight away it’s in your bank which is great. Highly recommend. I am in a small town though, don’t think it would be that much fun in the city.

Good but could be better
The App itself is clear and easy to manage. Orders are displayed clearly with all information you need ahead. Working with Deliveroo is fun. The App’s navigation is poor in comparison with Uber Eats, you need to use other navigation. Also, 10-15% of all customer meetings points are inaccurate, which is hard to manage at night or with addresses without a number. There is no easy chat with customer service regarding non urgent questions, the App directs to FAQ which is less than useless in matters that you need answered. Urgent questions about current orders are answered swiftly, which is much better in comparison to Uber Eats. Neither App has a good non urgent response team. Work is super flexible and allows you to work anywhere at anytime without any restrictions. It would be great to see other areas while still delivering. Currently, you have to manually switch to other areas to see if they are busy. It is superior though to Uber Eats which doesn’t show any info.

Not worth it anymore!
I reject all orders below £5 otherwise it’s just not worth it. After fuel and extra insurance paid by the hour, you will end up making less than minimum wage. Some days you won’t even get any orders even though the app says it’s moderate or busy. Had the app open for 3 hours tonight whilst it said moderate and not one order came through. It was better last year but since January it seams to of gone down hill rapidly. Everyone seams to be jumping ship to Just Eat as they pay more and compensate you for long waits at restaurants. Also Just Eat have a messaging service that you can live talk to support. All the drivers say Just Eat is far better and you can actually earn a decent wage with them.

This app is an extension of Deliveroo’s exploitative business model. Insistent push notifications offering fee ‘boosts’ (which changed recently from an additional bonus on top of delivery fees to a bonus calculated by % which works out as a much smaller bonus) encourage riders to work in treacherous and dangerous conditions. The rider ‘support’ line is near impossible to reach, even in times of emergency, and when reached is manned by uninspired agents who know very little English and are unsympathetic. The map/navigation system encourages cyclists to use motorways and dual carriageways with no cycle lanes or safe cycling routes because they are the ‘fastest’ route. There is also very little support for riders who have accidents and no cohesive system for reporting safety concerns, including following covid safety measures - there is no provision or extra funds released for riders to sanitise and clean their equipment. There is also little/no support for bike maintenance. Little to none of this support is provided by the app or company as a whole, with vague ‘guidelines’ to be followed but no follow up or communication with riders. Sort it out!!!

NEw changes are worst. And app got multiple issues. I picked up food from restaurant and almost arrived at customer and it’s unassigned. This happened multiple times and when you ask support for help they say they they can’t find order and end chat. Another sit is you can’t pick up food until you completely inside the restaurant sometimes the map showing location bit away from the actual location then support never work we have to drive extra without any reason to just mark it as picked up

Unnecessary stuffs
App it’s great, whoever there are some stuff that is unnecessary like the “pop up” of new order notification, it should happen just one time as the mobile is literally in the front of your face, and when you work all day doing that is a bit annoying.
And about to cancel some order is it really necessary all those options for what reason the order it’s being canceled? something like “are you sure do you want to cancel” would be enough.
Also would be great if we can chose which order do first when we got two orders what for sure would optimize the job.
