Poor service

Poor service

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am really happy to be part of Deliveroo riders team, what a company!!! I’m 100% sure they really look after riders, our safety and treat all riders with respect, as well as customers, besides that we have got a on-line chat which makes all the difference for ya, seeing that we can solve problems, answer questions and so on with their friendly rider support always willing to help out.
But the main reason to be successful and outstanding company is because Mr Will Shu (Deliveroo Founder) used to be a rider and he knows very well what is to work as rider and difficulties while riding.

Great Company to work with

Thank you deliveroo. First of all app is really simple and fast. Friendly rider support and company always do work to improve it self by getting feedback from riders.

A disaster

Where do I start? I have been a rider for years. The company has changed a lot, from wanting to be a business that delivered food in an environmentally friendly way to being all about profits.

Drivers are paid more, incentivising them to use cars and scooters, cyclists less.

Deliveroo also keeps incrementally decreasing rider pay.

I were firstly paid £4 per delivery no matter the distance. Then it became a distance based system with £4.10 being the minimum.

After that, because medium to long distances weren’t paid as well they increased the pay there by decreasing the amount everywhere else.

More and more fees were paid below £4. Since then pay has gone down little by little until now where we’re lucky to get £4 without travelling the length of the city. Now the minimum pay is £3.30 for drivers. I guess cyclists get less.

They have managed this by keeping our per hour earnings the same HOWEVER this has also come about by us doing more orders and travelling further. Meaning our expenses are increased = less profit = less money.

Then the customer service is utter rubbish as you’re told to consulate the HELP page and otherwise send them an email.

Everything that can be being decentralised and automated. The amount of times I’ve not been able to work bc of an app issue which had to be resolved days later by email...

I’ll be happy to leave. I shadow of what they used to be. Money hungry.

Think twice before you work for the scammers

Expect to set for hours and hours and getting paid less than the minimum wage I worked for this company for two years they exploit un skilled workers here in the UK and they keep paying less money for you and when you write them they say simply you have the right to reject the order! Which means you can take this order for £3 or reject it and get nothing!
Other problem expect to be send to a closed restaurant and not getting paid for your petrol even if you drive your car or bike for 6 miles and when you call them they say oh sorry we can not pay you for this order please go to our website and fill a form and you will get paid and guess what if you fill that form you are wasting your time because someone live in asia will answer your email and say this could be frustrating we cannot pay you for this order.
Find a real job and leave this ripoff.

It’s not a job anymore

If you are thinking of starting to work for Deliveroo - don’t! It’s really bad money now. Sometimes less than $10 per hour. All riders I’ve spoken to are stopping soon anyway for their own reasons so they will continue but if you are thinking of investing and buying into this by buying a scooter etc I really suggest you only do this if you have no alternative. They made so many changes recently that it’s obvious the last thing on their agenda is looking after the riders, they come a distant last in their priorities. Sure we were always a number on a spreadsheet to them (that is how these big companies work) but now we are seen as a way to save them money, it’s exploitation at its finest.

all we need are customer adress before accept the order

As a rider... customer adresss are crucial. From there we can decide wether the job are worth it to be done with the fee that you offer.. im happy to do the job with fee $6 if i know the adress at the first place. Why rider keep reject the long distance order ?because the fee are not relevan..sometime its take 40 min to settle the job but deliveroo only offer 9$ for that... that rediculous...so to overcame this problem.. offer extra fee or tips everytime that order rejected by rider. Just my 2 cent

Booking zone

Before it was better when it was booking zone. Now m not enjoying.

Fees steadily decreasing, 0 orders

We all know how the fees have steadily been decreasing, but since the start of 2020 there is an even bigger problem. Deliveroo has decided to massively increase the number of riders per shift so that nobody makes money anymore.
I am making between 0-10d per hour now and can’t make a living.
If it doesn’t go back to how it was a fee weeks ago I need to stop working for Deliveroo which would be a shame as it was a great and flexible way to make good money.
