  • This game is phenomenal

I bought this game because I played it endlessly on pc. Much like sunless sea this game works really well on handheld devices. Although because the scale this game can get with your table full of cards in later more major victory paths I’d recommend playing this on iPad or pausing a lot to read each card.

  • Beautiful, Mysterious, Thoughtful

It is best to go into this game without reading any walkthroughs. The sense of mystery and exploration will pay dividends. Be patient, and see how far down the rabbit hole you can go. The only negative I see is that the developer has not made any of the wonderful DLC from the PC version available, nor do I know if they have intentions of releasing it.

  • iCloud sync deleted ALL my progress

Yea...I still love this game, though. Finally beat it and mastering it.

One of my favs for sure.

Edit: like one of the other reviewers has said, you aren’t able to do the ‘Temptation: Change’ aka ‘The Dancer’ storyline/playthrough even though there are hints in the cards when you talk to the specific person and also ‘The Dancer’ achievements are shown as available in Game Center. I have contacted the devs who said they will get back to me (much appreciate for quick response) and they think the dlc wasn’t added to iOS...again, weird since the conversation texts are in the game and the achievements are too: but it refuses to let you speak to a certain person at the club. Hopefully devs will fix/add this ASAP! If anyone else is having this issue be sure to request as well so we can continue our crazy cult fun!

  • Temptation: change?

I’ve been trying for a while to get temptation change by taking sulochana as entry to the club, but the button is grayed out every time. Am I missing something or is something wrong? Would appreciate help. Besides that the game is absolutely fantastic
  • Fantastic

    Utterly fantastic.
  • Pretty good.

It's a god, fun puzzle game that made me feel one with the occult.
  • A genre of its own (but glitchy)

An extremely intriguing game that has a 4D depth behind its 3D interface. You can really sense the love that went into its creation. It isn’t a game you play to rush through to an ending or to ‘win’ - rather one that accompanies you on a journey, nudging and guiding you with its hauntingly beautiful narrative, dipping a toe into alchemy and disappearing round the next bend in a way that creates the illusion of forcing you to tune into personal instinct rather than reason.

At the moment, there is what seems to be a very obvious bug that I’m finding frustrating, because I’d like to explore the transformation side of the game and I think this might be a key - it isn’t possible to visit the club with Sulochana, despite her instructing you to meet her there - the start button remains greyed out. Hopefully (unless I’m missing a trick!) this will be fixed soon.

A really good piece of game design, nonetheless.

  • Enjoyment beckons, but at the expense of sanity

Like the makers’ other games, it’s a great idea with novel mechanics, but falls flat when it comes to usability, longevity and player-centric design. Too often, the ‘mysterious’ and ‘explorative’ gameplay ends up being a bit of an excuse for bad interaction design. Be prepared to quickly understand the workings of the game, only to be twice frustrated by how it layouts different classes of cards (not convenient, painfully similar) or how you will frantically need to drag cards into slots vaguely trying to remember which obscure combo allowed you to put another obscure thing in another. At the very least it should upgrade to better helper functions once you have understood the game. I feel oddly punished for understanding how the gameplay works, as the interface punishes the experienced player to provide an initial brief figuring out period.
All in all, I recommend this game for its honest and brave stab at creating new concepts, but I will caveat it with above frustrations.

  • Amazing Game, Great Port

april 15. purchased a new, bigger table from oriflamme's. it's easier to plan my next moves.
the bureau was on my case, he said. something about indiscretion. looking for a man asking around for a table to perfectly arrange his mysteries unceasing, complaining of an awful stench from luminous fluids mixing together. it's true. they fell into each other. it's a smell you can't get out of your eyes for days.
well, try to find me now: everything's neat and organized, all my inventory is in order. i know exactly where and how to strike back. i reach towards my papers, reach into the granary of truth, reach under the skin of the world...
everything is laid out perfectly on this table.
order prevails. the maid does, too.

    Developer Response

A new update is coming that should fix this. Sorry for the trouble.
  • An awesome game!

This game offers hours of engagement, and really makes you feel like you’re building a cult from the ground up to become a figure of unearthly power.

My only gripes are that in the later game, caves can really slow you down, and there are some glitches with Sulochana. For instance, the game says I should be able to use her to gain entrance to the club, but it never starts.
