  • Happy patient

Love the app, it’s easy to navigate. I like being able to communicate with my physicians if I need to. The appointment reminders are a big help. I have never used a healthcare app that was as comprehensive as this one is. One more reason why I chose Penn Medicine.
  • Scheduling Appt

MyPenn app works well for the most part but scheduling an appointment directly or indirectly is a mixed bag of dead ends and poor optionality. Sometimes you cannot even find your doctor or location.
  • Easy to use

This service is excellent. I’m not computer literate but can use this as easily as I pay my monthly bills.
  • Great tool

This app is very user friendly and it keeps you up on your health and test results. I just wish it had a cancellation option for appointments. Other than that, it is awesome!!!
  • One of the easiest apps ever

I have several health related apps on my phone and this is one of the best. Easy to use and navigate. Very comprehensive. I like that I can also link up other health system accounts. I work in web design so compliments from me are hard to come by. Kudos!
  • Staff very good, other services not so good

As usual 3400 Civic Center Boulevard is a traffic nightmare. I’m already ill, and when I have to go to a facility on Civic Center Blvd, I feel stressed and debilitated.

My recent barium enema X-ray was not a good experience except for the medical staff, who were knowledgeable and professional. The directions provided required me to take “a bottle of magnesium citrate.” Not only is this recommendation vague (what size bottle?), but the magnesium citrate is no longer available. I had to call to get clarity on the size of the bottle. When I learned it was not available, I had to call again for an alternative recommendation. Not convenient for me.

Speaking of inconvenient, the on line instructions sent me to 59 North 39th Street. When I got there, I was told to go to the Cupp Building. Why wasn’t I given the correct information the first time?

The technicians and doctor performing the procedure were fine. However at one point the table I was on was turned a different way and I noticed in the room a young man who had not been introduced to me. Presumably, he was a medical student, but surely it is a breach of medical ethics that he was not introduced.

On the whole, the experience could have been better. Penn has excellent staff, but it is not focused on providing a good patient experience.

  • Love this app

    Makes appointment scheduling easy.
You no longer have to wait for a call about test results, they are uploaded right into the app. Never miss an appointment with reminders from the app. It’s just great
  • Great med app

Love this app. Everything all in one place. Well organized easy to find stuff. I like the option to contact care providers through the messaging feature. Really useful for non urgent questions.
  • Medication List

Why does it keep removing my list of medication I need to request refills for? That’s basically the best feature of the app. When I have to email every month to request them because the ones I need keep while the ones I’ve never requested refills for stays on the list forever…the benefit of this app disappears.

  • Standards??

Handy however last month someone hacked my phone to the point of having to make a police report and being scared to leave my house. I got an email saying someone was requesting my medical records through this portal app. So I called penns record department where they said I would have to drive down to Philly before they would do anything (forgot to mention this was the week after I had a shoulder replacement)
