Great but Flawed App
This is an alert for the programmer:
When entering use info in new version of app, a phone number is required, including hyphens. However, on an iPhone 13, there is no way to enter the hyphens, thus the data entry fails. I called Apple tech support, who agreed this seemed to be an omission in iOS. A workaround that I works to enter the phone number in the required nnn-nnn-nnnn format is to copy the number with hyphens in Notes a paste it into the form.
Far better would be if the MyPennMedicine app provided the hyphens itself automatically or lift the requirement for hyphens.
Apple should provide a hyphen in the phone number widget or at least should allow the use of the regular keyboard when entering phone numbers.Show lessnspiesn
Disappointed by new format
I used to find this site really useful but now find it less so. I'm no longer able to schedule appointments online with my care team. In addition, the new format does not allow me to compare test results from different years as I was able to do in the old one. Finally, there’s a lot of incorrect information that I’m not allowed to correct in the site, and I get a lot of irrelevant alerts, telling me to get vaccines that I’ve already had, etc.Show lessPhillyLawyer2022
Excellent tool
The Penn Medicine app is easy to use and navigate. We get fast test results, easy to review billing details, appointment updates, prescription refill requests are easy and most important is being able to send a message to my doctor or care team. Whenever I use the messaging the doctor or someone from the team always follows up promptly.
Also a great feature is linking my other healthcare providers so that they are all looking at the same information.Show lessJack The Stool
The app is fine but it seems to be a barrier at times
While the app is still evolving, I do like it’s design. It is great to have everything in one place including access to other (non-Penn Medicine) medical apps from one app.
What I do not like is having my prescription refill requests, and questions to the my Doctor intercepted and answered by Nurses. This is mostly the case for Penn Valley Forge. I find this to be frustrating more often than not. As a suggestion, give customers - via the app- the opportunity to complete customer satisfaction surveys for non Physician interactions.Show lessJa34y

Best app ever for patients
Its perfect because you can book appointments with your doctor thought the app, you can see your bills, the cost of your visit, the cost of different procedures (calculator), book appointment with other doctors, you can text your doctor and they answer the same day; you don’t have to call them each time. You can also see which vaccines you got and which ones you need, your whole medical history, all the test results literally as soon as they come out, for me is very reliable especially as someone with a chronic disease, you can manage everything through the app, is easier.Show lessjordan25278
