Fun to have aboard

Reasonably accurate IF you have WiFi. A SECONDARY source to a vigilant anchor watch by sight, RADAR and GPS.

No customer service

I recently upgraded to the paid version. Waste, screen only shows half the area and despite 3 emails over two weeks I have had no response.

2 Years of use.

I’ve been using this app for 3 seasons, coastal cruising on a 34’ sailboat. It works decently well.

Last night I had my drag radius set for 225’ to give the anchor a little time to reset because I had plenty of space. Anchor alarm went off after a 180deg swing reversal but did not go off for over 700’ putting us almost on another boat. Maybe it was user error, but this incident made me question the app.

Merveilleux💪

Vous pouvez dormir tranquil avec cette appli!!:)

I like it but. . .

I really like this app and I purchased the full version. My only complaint is that the circular (or semi-circular) field you set around your anchor is inconsistent on the map view when you zoom in. Part of the border disappears and you cannot see (graphically) how close to your border you are. Seems like a bug in the zoom function.

Andros anchorage.

30 knt wind and all is good

Developer has abandoned this app

There hasn’t been an update in 2 years, and the developer doesn’t respond to support emails. I recommend looking elsewhere…

Source of frustration

The anchor alarm routinely “drifts” and sets off the anchor alarm even though the boat is not dragging. After several instances where the alarm went off and we didn’t appear to move I started cross checking it against other anchor alarms. No boat movement on other alarms or instruments but this app showed us quickly drifting outside the allowable swing circle. The alarm went off and the boat had not moved.

Save your money.

Love it

Great anchor alarm app that JUST WORKS!

When dropping the anchor I set it using the relative location setting (being, in our case, 11 m away from the helm at whatever the boat’s heading is) and, depending on how much rode we’ve put out, we set an allowed distance of typically about 20m more than the length of rode.

I normally set it on my iPhone which is usually close at hand but if we’re leaving the boat, I’ll also set it on my iPad which stays on the boat and that allows me to check the boat’s position and be notified if the anchor drags, as long as we have mobile phone or internet coverage. If we’re not in mobile range I will sometimes leave Starlink on so the remote facility works, if I am concerned about the anchor dragging.

It works!

Most reassuring to know I have another pair of eyes open when anchored.
