Gym app + social media

Started using as a gym app to track my workouts and progress overall, then realized that you can also post your workouts and have other people comment, like, follow you.
Havenโ€™t seen anything like that before, very glad that I stumbled upon this gemโค๏ธ

Best workout tracking app hands down

Iโ€™ve tested multiple apps for tracking my workouts and this is the best one by far. I have my own training program so I hate when apps try to force theirs down my throat. Flex does offer some of their own programs but itโ€™s up to you whether you use them. They have a super slick and easy to use UI and the new live actuvities and watch companion app are amazing and super useful. I canโ€™t recommend this app enough ๐Ÿคฉ

Flex is an amazing, feature rich, and modern app that gives you plenty of opportunity to customize your own workouts, while also giving you curated workouts. An app suitable for all types of gym goers. A major plus is how attentive the developers are to user feedback and bug reporting. Definitely suggest reporting a bug or giving feedback, because it will definitely be looked at and taken into consideration in future iterations of the app. Amazing job!!

Latest update made this app perfect

This app has been the best thing for my lifting progress, especially after the most recent update. First off, when you program a workout with specific weight in the warm up sets and different weight in the working sets. Then letโ€™s say you do your warm up sets in the workout and you realize that was too light or you have progressed over a period of months or years. You used to have the edit the workout itself to change the warmup sets. In the previous version, this was a hassle to have to go back to previous workouts to see my warm up set weights then change them in the current workout but not impossible to do. Just back out of the workout and look at last weeks workout to see where the warm up was then go back to the current workout and update it. In this version if you make changes to the workout during your workout, you can save those changes and they carry over to the next time you use that workout. Every set in an exercise within a workout inherits the previous workoutโ€™s weight and reps instead of defaulting to when you first setup the workout. Love this change so much. And thanks to the devs pointing this out to me.

Hi there, Thanks for your feedback. Please note you can actually modify your weights during the workout and all your value changes will be carried over to the next workout. In Flex 2.0 template editing can be done on the go during the workout. We will add the ability to minimize your workout without closing it in an update coming coming in 2-4 weeks.

It was a good app before they changed it. Now so glitchy and terrible to use. Wasted of $90

Great App

Iโ€™ve very often struggled to maintain a consistent workout routine without relying on a trainer. I started using this app to supplement my regular training routine. Iโ€™ve used it on days where I just wasnโ€™t sure what to focus on, and it has helped by making it easy to target a specific muscle group or filter by equipment. The smart progression and auto tracking has really helped me see tangible progress in my training. Itโ€™s taken a lot of the effort out of planning my workouts, making actually going to the gym much easier and enjoyable.

I do like how it is easy to swap out an exercise, or adjust the number of reps or weights on the fly. This has been useful when the gym is busy and I may not have access to the right equipment, it makes it really easy to adapt a workout. The animations and descriptions of what to do in an exercise are also really helpful.

I would recommend this to anyone who struggles to track and maintain a consistent workout plan.

Best Workout App for Intermediate and Advanced Training

Iโ€™ve been weight training for about 12 years and one of the biggest keys to success in the gym is consistency workout to workout. Flex is built exactly for this.

It allows you to build your own workouts in a simple, easy to use format.

There are premade workouts available for beginners but I don't think this is really the appโ€™s strength.

It remembers your last weight and set for each exercise and carries it over to the next workout.

It tracks your rest (which you can customize)

And if you make modifications intra-workout, you can save those for the next time as well.

The stats dashboard is helpful for tracking progress, though could use some improvement and more detail.

Try it out for free, but if you have an apple watch, youโ€™ll definitely want to pay for it, the logging on the watch has changed my ability to stay focused and keep my phone away while working out.

Overall an amazing app if you want a highly customizable, simple interface logging app that doesn't push a specific training style or set of workouts.
