  • Awesome!

Used to play this on the pc and was surprised how well it was ported over to ios. Recommend using the apple pen as it makes it easier to connect the rails. Good times.
  • Terrific train game!!

I played this game for many years on my PC. I like the convenience of playing the game on my IPAD. The game runs flawlessly on my IPAD 6 with 128K memory. I Appreciate buying the game completely upfront with no in app purchases necessary to advance. Play the game as much as I want with each scenario and no additional purchases necessary to win or complete the scenario! Having said that I would gladly pay for additional map/scenario packages! Are there any plans to offer additional map packages? I hope so!

  • Connect to crash city!

About 5 minuet playtime before crashing...no need to worry about being on your device too much with this game! Not at all worth the high price. You pay for this...they give you that!

I see i received a canned response from the developer. The same response they give everyone.

Sincerely unhelpful and why the game is not fixed.

  • Fun, but confusing

One of the game objectives is to buy out the competition. In the desktop version, which I loved, this was pretty straightforward - but I can’t figure out how to do it in the iOS version.
  • Great Game, crashes constantly.

This would easily be on of the best iPad ports/clones ever if it didn’t crash 6-8 times per game. I suspect a memory issue. Very frustrating. If it was horrible I would delete it. It fun enough that I enjoy it until I can’t stand the lose of immersion from the crashes. Many times in any one game. It hasn’t been updated in a long time and I have no idea what they do with Al the crash reports it generates except that they do not fix it. Will probably delete it. Save your money and time until it is fixed.

  • Great port, missing ability to buy/sell shares

Great port, missing ability to buy/sell shares. Can’t buy or sell shares. Makes it impossible to take over another rail line and achieve that objective.

  • Excellent.

Anyone who didn’t give it a good review must not understand the original game. A bit different on mobile but I don’t see how you can not understand if you give it patience.
  • Best Train Sim! No In App Purchases

    This is the real deal.

This game is enjoying and challenging. Different objectives for different maps that keep it interesting and make you alter your strategy.

There are MANY train sims in the App Store but almost all of them are timed sequences that you can bypass if you plonk down cash. There are no in app purchases in this Railroad Tycoon just pure fun.

  • Just like the old days

If you remember this from when it came out on PC, the port is faithful and plays just the same. The trains and maps look great and the interface is fine once you figure out where everything is. It’s a fun, well designed game, but if what you’re looking for is a model train set, be forewarned. There is a sandbox mode, but the main game involves a lot more than laying tracks, choosing engines, and routing cargo. Stock prices, patents, changing markets, and cutthroat competitors all must be managed. For me that business layer is too prominent and saps some of the joy out of running your railroad. But not enough to keep me from recommending this if the premise sounds appealing. A lot of train joy still shines through.

  • Great game, small niggles

Really good game, but 2 minor issues. The train laying can be a bit fiddly and the power consumption is HUGE. Emptied my iPad Pro battery in just over 2 hours.
