1/10 I don’t recommend
Half of the locations aren’t even abandoned or ever were abandoned, and end up just being someone who marked a random location to upload their photos and promote their account, And the other half are places that were trashed when someone uploaded it not knowing a bunch of 12 year olds would trash the place as soon as it was uploaded. Several hidden locations in my area have been trashed and destroyed (even burned down) because of this app they need to at least add some age verification.Show lesslil tanner streety
Excellent and Free
I was a little skeptical of this app at first, but it really is free with ads and has tons of locations available. The app itself could use polish, but it is obvious from the reviews that the developer actively listens to reviews and try’s to implement changes from community feedback which is really cool.
My biggest complaint so far is the search engine could use improvements. So far users can only search by location or keyword, it would really improve the user experience if it was possible to filter results on the map using keywords, like the “search this area” feature on google maps. Another recommendation would be adding the ability to search using multiple keywords at the same time (Ex. “England” + “Factory”)

Hi McDonald, yes there’s a lot of improvement with the search. To share with you the plan: I plan to use AI to search efficiently through the database. There are a couple of easy features to deliver 1st then afterwards I can look into the search. It’s on the backlog anyway. Thanks a lot for this awesome detailed review.POTENTIAL!
This definitely has potential and would love help it grow! 1) For starters, I think we all should have usernames and profiles so people can follow each other and link up to a spot or perhaps make a group chat. 2) For a spot that’s been explored, I think it should be a different color icon. 3) Remove spots that’s have been demolished or have a different icon for that, some seem off and maybe have a sensor like for example: there’s a broken window or roof or if somebody see that, they can leave a question questioning whether the place is abandoned or not to help cooperate, but other than that amazing app!Show less888Oof

It’s nice that you can find locations near you by zooming in but I wish there was a setting where you could see all the abandoned places at once. People also post random things that aren’t abandoned or have confusing names which is annoying. But it’s a pretty good app.Pandas 24245

I love this app, usually I can’t figure out where to go or what’s around but this app helps. BUT, pair it with an Uber type function, but better. Have a driver pick you up, the. You and the driver go to these locations together and have some fun! You would kinda be renting an urbex buddy for a while, and might even make a friend doing it!Show lessParanormalAnonymous

I love the idea of this app, don’t get me wrong. I wish you could add a feature where we can mark an abandoned place, I live in a very rural area, where i see a bunch of abandoned houses. But they don’t show up on the map. I would love too mark areas for people who like to explore too. Speaking of the map, the things at the bottom is kinda annoying and is hard to navigate because it’s there, why not add a feature where you can remove it? Me and my friends went to multiple sites from the app and when we actually got to the marked location on the app there was nothing to be found, literally no buildings or anything and if there was a building it was a house that was being actively lived in. The app needs to have people to go an make sure some of these places are actually still there before I waste gas and time trying to find some abandoned place that doesn’t actually exist anymore.Show lessMattie MacC

This app is really good, but the way you navigate the map makes me lose my marbles. Also, when you wanna add your own place, the devs were evil enough to make you go through the map yourself, and not allowing you to put an address in. Great app either way.Grizzly_Mishka

I love this app and can see it being very useful for adventures. My main problems are that you can’t close out of some of the GUI’s that take up half the screen causing a difficult and frustrating time navigating the map, and that you cannot zoom out all the way out of the map. This causes frustration. Also, I think a feature that should be added is the ability to let the OP remove their own photos/contributions from certain locations.
I also believe there needs to be a better filter for photos being posted. There are some places where people just spam fake photos and others where people spam unrelated photos. There was an area in Virginia where someone had spammed a location with rock concert photos. It was very annoying to report each and every single one.

Hi, did you know that you can clear the map controls by pressing anywhere on the map? Then the map is cleared. You can report any pictures for deletion or the entire location. Yes, the filter for recent uploads is the most requested pictures by users, I'm taking this into account for the future. Ive used this app to find out some pretty fire places. Like someone else said however, it needs to be updated more frequently. But I figure that has nothing to do with the developers and really it has to do with US since WE are the ones exploring and keeping updates on abandoned places.
