  • Never thought a puzzle game would make me cry but here we are

I mean where do I start, the graphics are beautiful, the music fits perfectly, the puzzles are fun and challenging, and oh my god the story that is told purely through scenery is amazing. The world building is just flat out stunning. Not to mention the mechanics of the game and how light turns creatures into furniture just reminds me of my childhood in the weirdest way.

All in all, if you’re into puzzle games and want a nice story to go along with it this game is perfect.

  • Fun and challenging. Would hardly change a thing about this game

This dark and haunting puzzle journey is reminiscent of a mazelike and dystopian Alice in Wonderland. You follow a clueless but intrepid Victorian era scribe in slacks, down a figurative rabbit hole through various labyrinthine ladder linked chambers. You intermittently spy on several well heeled avian characters in their quest to repel a giant invader that continuously tears at the crumbling dungeon that you all now inhabit. There are some animated paintings at regular intervals that serve as short interludes between the progressively challenging puzzles you must complete. You use your wits to avoid getting bitten by aggressive dogs, jellyfish and scarecrow like creatures that instantly transform into harmless furniture as you solve the puzzle. There is enough guidance by way of button hints to help with getting started. Though I did get stuck at times, it wasn’t many, thanks to the help of YouTubers. Since you cannot advance if you’re stuck, the option should be given to skip a puzzle or receive hints, unless the developers intended players to search online for a walkthrough. Fantastic game and the playing environment and acoustics were excellent.

  • Frustrated

I like the game as far as I have gone which is not far at all. I have come down a long ladder and I know what I am supposed to do to get past the mean dog, but when I get a little close to the dog to make him mad and then try to run to the left and jump down to the lower level, I really believe the game developers made it so that the controls do not respond as fast so the little guy can run fast and jump down to get out of the way. I know when I just use the controls to go left, they seem to work faster, but when I am trying to escape the dog chasing after me, the controls do not work as fast. These old hands of mine are not able to do the job.I have been able to jump down about two times successfully, but then when I am trying to climb back up and then go to the right, again the controls do not respond very fast. Is there some other way to get past the dog that I am not realizing? I know there is a lot of game left to play but I have tried for about two weeks now, and still cannot get past this area.

Great game ! 👍🏼Just finished beating the entire game and man let me tell you that this game will require focus & excellent thinking skills to completely beat🤦🏻‍♂️. Some of the best puzzles that I’ve seen in a game in a long time. The game becomes very challenging as it goes on, and it never gets boring. This is a game that you definitely want to see through from start to finish so that you can uncover the mystery in this beautiful intriguing world. Visually the game looks great and is backed up by a unique stellar sound score that will leave you wondering and wanting more. All the interesting characters that you’ll come across throughout the game will all give you their own set of difficulty and challenges. This is The Best Apple Arcade Game that you won’t want to miss ! Friendly Reminder:Don’t Forget to listen for the in game sound cues as you progress ! Good Luck.🤙

  • Controls are garbage!

I downloaded this game because it looked pretty fun and the design is construction well. So far I am having a good time playing it but the way the controls are set up are not very reliable. It’s very difficult to move around sometimes and when I want the characters to go one way the controls completely stop working and then I have to start my task all over again. It’s pretty frustrating. I also would suggest putting a tutorial at the beginning of the game because when I started I got no instructions. I have been figuring it out along the way.

  • Best game on Apple Arcade. Best puzzle from Amanita.

It’s long. Probably the longest game Amanita Design ever made. And it’s gorgeous. At the end, you will think it’s not long enough. The art, the music, the gameplay, the story... It all comes together as a masterpiece one can enjoy for a while.

If you haven’t played their other games, be aware that some of puzzles are not that easy and can be really hard and challenging. Luckily this one doesn’t need audio puzzles to be solved in order to succeed. Well, unless you want to take home all achievements. But there will be plenty of moments you will be eager to google for a walkthrough. Just don’t. They all are solvable, just take your time. Listen to the music. Take a rest, return another day. Savor the moment.

  • Clever Puzzles, Fantastic Story

The storytelling in this game is truly top-notch. Without using any written or spoken dialogue, the designer conveys a broad range of emotion and a robust storyline. I’ve played desktop games that were as emotionally moving, but I think this is the first time I’ve seen a phone game reach this level of quality.

The puzzles are consistently excellent. Not too easy, but not obtuse or frustrating. Each has a rational solution that will be obvious in retrospect but requires you to play around with the environment. And a fantastic environment it is, with background details that make you stop regularly just to admire the scenery.

A must-play for anyone who likes puzzles or storytelling games.

  • Very good, if slightly too easy, puzzle game

Great art style, great music, great if intentionally vague and ambiguous world building, great sound design, a few fun minigames in the form of "interactive paintings", overall a very fun game and a great way to spend some time on a lazy afternoon or a long wait at a bus stop. My only complaint is that the puzzles don't ramp up in difficulty that much throughout the game. Plenty of new mechanics are introduced to keep things fresh, but the difficulty curve remains pretty flat with only a few exceptions. The last puzzle in the game in particular had me going "Wait, that's it?" as it really didn't feel like some final test where I had to put everything I'd learned up to now into use. It felt like any other puzzle, and could've been slotted in anywhere else in the story.

But, this game is great for what it is, and provided me many hours of enjoyable gameplay and charming visuals that makes it impossible not to recommend. Definitely give it a try.

  • Best Game EVER!

Okay so I’m 59 years of age & have been playing games since they were invented. This is by far the BEST I’ve EVER played. It’s adventurous, challenging, amusing, intriguing, colourful, exciting & the sound-effects & general background music are pleasing & appropriate. Sometimes I get royally stuck & have to put the game down for a while - & a few times I’ve had to use a walkthrough as I’m impatient. It’s a long game, which is brilliant as you really get into the storyline. I don’t usually write reviews on games but this one is SO worth recommending! I shall be sad when it’s finished 😩

  • Very good game! 🪜🚶‍♂️🦜 💡 🐐 🐕

Very fun and challenging puzzles! This is a game where you get through puzzles by shining lights on evil jelly fish to turn them into harmless globes. I love this game because it really makes you think hard about how to pass the puzzle your on. I also love the interactive painting mini games. They are really fun and challenging too. The nice thing about it is that it’s not one of those games that you get and it’s really fun but then you finish it the next day. This game takes thinking time!
