Too many issues

Really loved my CXN V2 but the StreamMagic app is ultimately the reason why I am returning it. Quboz experiences frequent audio dropouts and I have experienced the player pausing and playing on its own without any input which I suspect is doing going on behind the scenes within the StreamMagic app. Something as simple as changing apps within iOS is enough to cause the CXN to experience a dropout in playback or to pause the player all together. The CXN has a ton of potential with a proper app but this is not it.

Hi, we're sorry to hear that you're experiencing problems with your CXNv2 and the app. We're very keen to understand the issues better and will do our very best to help resolve them. Once the unit has Qobuz tracks in it's play queue the StreamMagic app has no influence over their playback, that is entirely handled by the CXNv2 and the Qobuz servers. Please contact our support team at www.cambridgeaudio.com/support I'm sure we'll be able to help improve things. Thanks for your patience, Cambridge Audio

How to use volume control on iPad

The volume control on the app does not work on my iPad. Help.

Still glitchy

Been using my CA streamer for several years now, this app is better than the windows 98 level CA connect but keeps dropping connection, saying no device connected, etc. Very frustrating to use, I quite often end up putting on my old vinyl, at least that never drops connection. I used to have a logitech squeezebox running a 3rd party app which was more stable than this 15 years ago. Just so frustrating because the app is reasonably good when working. Has put me off upgrading to a higher end CA all in one. The great equipment is no good if the app keeps letting you down unfortunately

Generally well featured and intuitive

I’ve been using the Stream Magic app for the past month with my new Evo 150. Prior to purchasing the Evo, I researched streaming apps from competitive products and found Stream Magic to be superior. Generally, the app appears to be stable and provides ready access to music across sources.

Just wanted to share a couple of items for future development:

— What’s new carousel: would love to see this carousel lower within the app as it detracts from the app’s core function, access to music. Alternatively, perhaps its location within the Home Screen could be customized via user settings?

— USB media source: when USB media is activated on the Home Screen, and the related hard drive source is tapped on the next screen, the music library may not appear while the unit is powering up. Is there a way for the music content to gradually load without needing to go backwards and re-select the hard drive?

Hi John, thanks for this great feedback. We've made some recent changes to the What's New carousel that should mean it's less prominent in the list as you continue to use the rest of the app functions. We'll take a look into improving the experience with USB drives during start up, thanks for the suggestion. We hope you continue to enjoy your Evo. Kind regards, Cambridge Audio

Won't link to NAS, case abandoned in support

Seems to be able to identify all the UPnP devices fine, including the NAS, but app shows 'no content' in the NAS, where there is over 1tb of music. Other devices can see and interact with it. After twoweeks of troubleshooting with support, the case was allegedly handed off to the specialists whose only engagement was to ask me to let them know if any further assistance was needed. Then the auto ticket closer popped up a few days later. Knowing Cambridge must hire smart, competent people, the takeaway is the support team is overwhelmed by buggy software and under resourced when it comes to actually getting customers to a place where their equipment to work as advertised. This probably causes lower than necessary reviews, and drives higher than necessary product returns.

Useless

You can’t even login if you didn’t create your account on that device the email link that’s supposed to log you in just opens the App Store page if you click open on that page it doesn’t log you in

Limited app and bad UI/UX

No support for AmazonHD
Difficult to navigate and unintuitive

Good app, crowded home screen

In my day to day use of the app i don't care one bit about "what's new from Cambridge Audio", yet the app home screen has almost 1/3 of it's real estate taken by a self-advert pane

Hard to know where to start

I have to say this app is very poor and clunky
Cannot login app send me a email that goes back to the app download so I just go around in circles
Cannot pair my Bluetooth headphones domes it sees them but won’t let me pair and other times it does not find them at all
This app has me considering returning the unit as it’s such a off putting experience

Rubbish and makes a good player worthless

Tired of reporting the same bug (app crashes if you a) scroll to fast b) try to do a title or artist search. All tracks takes forever to load (my library is 40,000 tracks) and the app doesn’t cache it so it has to reload EVERY time you move away from that list. Random quits, crashes and music stopping for no apparent reason other than the screen lock activates just make me want to dump my CXN V2 and go back to a laptop running itunes. I wouldn’t mind if Cambridge showed any interest in trying to resolve the issues but they don’t!
